This is what Zaheer said to Ricky Ponting

It was a decent sledge from Zak. Punter, being a typical Aussie, completely lost it. And in turn fired Zak up. Thank you Ricky.
Your obession with Australia is quite sickening. I'm just glad most Indian fans don't talk as much **** as you.

How appropriate. Next time, don't get upset when someones generalizes "typical Indian" based on the behavior of few individuals.
They are welcome to.

Take it easy. Ponting constantly gets pwned. Everyone's used to it by now. It would've been great had he replied with something like- "Yes grandpa, atleast I don't spend time getting injured bowling 130ks an hr".

Talk about missing the point completely. The issue is you making bigoted generalizations based on the actions of a few, which you have done consistently in the past and continue to do despite many (polite) requests to stop.

If you look around, Australia is the new Pakistan for the Indian fans. The rivalry is intense. The cricket is even better. Words are exchanged here and there and it adds to the contest. There is nothing to get all excited about. Incase someone did, I meant no offence. He should've simply come up with a better sledge. I stand by what I've said. I've not seen a single Aussie player handling an Indian sledge with restraint, however, they expect Harbhajan and Zak and other Indian players to "simply let it go as its a part of the game". The logic of "when we sledge it is a part of the game and when the Indians sledge its not within the spirit"defies logic.

:hmmm: You think Zak wouldn't have picked up 5 otherwise? This is like the neighbours saying, oh we are not good to win, the opposition threw it away.
I think Zak wouldn't be as fired up as he was had Ricky not asked him to work on his bowling. Look at the jelly-beans incident in England, the fight with the Aussies while bat in BG '08 which resulted in him scoring a ziddi 50 and there are many instances like this. He really gets fired up and boy does that help. Expect an explosive press conference soon :two_thumbs_up:

That tells you that playing for India is not enough motivation for some of our players to be fired up. They need to be sledged by the opposition for them to get fired up.

This is not the issue here. The issue here, as I said previously, is you making bigoted, racist generalizations by tarring everyone with the same brush.

WTF? From when did calling an aussie an aussie become racist generalization? Achiles has not made any racist comment in this thread and he was only making fun of the aussies for not having the stomach for taking an indian sledge.. none of the other indian posters on this thread have any problem with that. I can understand when 99.94 and other aussie members are upset with it.. why are you 'sree_india' going overboard about it?

try showing me some evidence of racist slur in achilles post.. orjust accept that u have lost it and answer my question - why u get so worked up even at the slightest offense against aussie players?

Back off, none of your business. On topic, its the racist generalizations that I am asking be stopped, its no concern of me whether you like certain Australian players or not.
