The Outsider Posted October 9, 2010 Posted October 9, 2010 I dont understand what ****ing goal they have in mind doing this I'm not sure what you don't understand - the underlying reasons are clearly given in the article - strategic importance in a post US Afghanistan and a factory of militants against India.
Clarke Posted October 9, 2010 Posted October 9, 2010 There's more from Mushy: While he denied the involvement of the security establishment in sending them across the Line of Control (LOC), he did concede that from Pakistan's point of view, the Lashkar was what he called a Mujahideen group, fighting for the rights of the Kashmiri people. "From our point of view, LeT is fighting for the rights of Kashmiris and there is great public support in Pakistan for groups like the Lashkar-e-Toiba," said Musharraf. http://www.ndtv.com/article/india/india-and-pakistan-were-close-to-a-kashmir-solution-musharraf-to-ndtv-58500 We were told that the ordinary people were peace loving and there is no support for terror groups banned by multiple nations :((
Manny_Pacquiao Posted October 9, 2010 Posted October 9, 2010 what rights? why does pakistan still care about kashmir? opinion polls regularly show that kashmiris no longer give a damn about pakistan. in fact the last poll i read about in reuters had only 3% of kashmiris supporting paki rule in kashmir. its clear that kashmiri people want to be independent and have had enough of being toyed with by both countries. cue paki conspiracy theory : "polls were rigged by evil hindu zionists" in any case, paki militants from LET and other terrorist groups arent there to fight for rights of kashmiris but to keep the 'fires burning' by not allowing people to settle down peacefully.
