Manny_Pacquiao Posted October 5, 2010 Posted October 5, 2010 9 straight losses in a row. this is definitely some kind of record. i think bangalore is when this losing streak comes to an end. if india wins the toss, they are going to take this test match, no doubt about it. it would be about time too, because i dont know how much longer this team can keep doing 4th innings miracles
fineleg Posted October 5, 2010 Posted October 5, 2010 I'll take losing the toss and winning the match, instead of the reverse that Punter got :icflove: Send Sehwag to the toss, lets bat first and pile up runs:cheerleader: Someone else can go instead of the captain, right?
nballa Posted October 6, 2010 Posted October 6, 2010 he should call 'tails'. the probability of tails is 2/3 and 'heads' is 1/3. people dont realize that coins are not symmetrical and the heads side weighs more than the tails side hence more probability of the coin landing on that side. don't alway listen to what math tells you. you guys can try this at home. we indians learn things by rote but fail to apply things we learn to practical situations. applied science is the key.
DomainK Posted October 6, 2010 Posted October 6, 2010 Doesnt matter. What matters is that he has never lost a test match. Who cares about the toss then?
Roshanrocks Posted October 6, 2010 Posted October 6, 2010 never lost a test match? u mean series? :--D
DomainK Posted October 6, 2010 Posted October 6, 2010 never lost a test match? u mean series? :--D oops, yes, I meant series.:sniffle:
saneindian Posted October 6, 2010 Posted October 6, 2010 Let him keep losing the tosses and winning the tests. Gives kick up the **** to many a jokers whose fav line is "India win at home only when they win the toss and bat 1st".

Its a home test, he is the home captain and will be tossing the coin, so he can't call. It will be Ponting's call.

Yup (see below) If at any time the captain is not available, a deputy shall act for him. (a) If a captain is not available during the period in which the toss is to take place, then the deputy must be responsible for the nomination of the players, if this has not already been done, and for the toss. he should call 'tails'. the probability of tails is 2/3 and 'heads' is 1/3. people dont realize that coins are not symmetrical and the heads side weighs more than the tails side hence more probability of the coin landing on that side. don't alway listen to what math tells you. you guys can try this at home. we indians learn things by rote but fail to apply things we learn to practical situations. applied science is the key. :haha::haha:
Ultimate_Game Posted October 9, 2010 Posted October 9, 2010 India lose toss again!!! It's 9th consecutive toss India has lost and in fact I can't even recollect when India won the toss in a Test! Amazing thing is that our record has been so good even after losing toss and batting last, especially in the subcontinent. Hope this 2 match series is won by India and doesn't end up 1-1
Roshanrocks Posted October 9, 2010 Posted October 9, 2010 dhoni has figured our a new mantra...lose toss win match
Manny_Pacquiao Posted October 9, 2010 Author Posted October 9, 2010 india hasn't won a toss since december of 2009 when they chose to bat first at kanpur against SL. wow.
Manny_Pacquiao Posted October 9, 2010 Author Posted October 9, 2010 this is ridiculous man. he is defying statistical probability!!
Sachinism Posted October 9, 2010 Posted October 9, 2010 Though it seems Dhoni was happy to lose this one. Not justified so far by the bowlers
