8 Brilliant batsman, 6 Places who misses out?

What a nightmare for selectors. Good nightmare though:--D. 8 quality batsman who would walk in to any other batting line up but only 6 places up for grabs! Sehwag Gambhir Vijay Pujara Dravid Tendulkar Laxman Raina 2 have to miss out! ( Its safe to say our second string batting line up would be best in the world!:giggle:

Well I would prepare two more guys..I will give Virat Kohli, Rahane and Rohit Sharma try too. Its easy to fit in winning team and winning atmosphere.

Bingo. The problem is in the medium term we still have two more slots to fill - SRT and VVS. I can see Vijay and Pujara slotting in at 3 and 4 in the long term, perhaps Raina at 6 but who gets No.5?

Dravid may not be needed in India, but will be missed in overseas tours. The selectors should probably leave him for the NZ tour and pick him back for the SA series hopefully after regaining his touch in the domestics.

3 match test series against New Zealand is ideal time ot give lot of players another proper chance. For the first test against New Zealand, rest Sehwag and Laxman. Gambhir comes back to open with Vijay. Rahen in middle order taking Sehwag slot in the team. rest same team as this third test so basically Pujara gets another game/

^ Sehwag needs to get back to form for Christ's Sake. Though he has never done well Against NZ in Tests.

Rahane can wait for a few more months. We need to give enough opportunities to Raina,Vijay and Pujara before the all important SA tour. Also I don't think any 'fit' top order batsman would like to rest for a test series.
