A class 12 student has been raped and then burnt alive in Damoh, Madhya Pradesh. The 17-year-old schoolgirl was allegedly raped by her neighbour, a 22-year-old engineering student, Saurav, on Monday. Her father said the girl and he went to file a complaint with the local police, who merely told them to come back the next day and that only after they paid a bribe of a few hundred rupees. On Tuesday afternoon, the victim, who was all alone in the house, was allegedly attacked and dragged to the backyard by Saurav, where his father and two uncles allegedly poured kerosene on her and set her afire. She was brought to the hospital with 90 per cent burn injuries. She named all four men before she died. "Last evening, I'd gone to the toilet. He raped me there. I screamed for help, then my brothers came and we left. Then when I was alone at home when his uncles Tikaram and Sitaram, Parshuram, Saurav and Nannu came and burnt me. Saurav was the one who raped me," the girl said in hospital on Tuesday. She died on Wednesday morning. Her father said on Tuesday: "Yesterday at 5 in the evening, this boy called Saurav raped my daughter... Then I went to the police station to lodge a complaint around 8 pm and was there for quite some time. I paid around Rs. 300 to 400 and they filed the report and told me to come in the morning around 9 am." The father and the two uncles of the accused have been arrested, but the main accused is absconding. Police have registered a case of rape and murder and have launched a massive hunt for the accused. Sir john Posted October 20, 2010 Posted October 20, 2010 दमोह. तेजगढ़ थानांतर्गत ग्राम मगदूपुरा में बारहवीं की छात्रा के साथ पड़ोस के सौरभ पटेल 21 ने सोमवार को दुराचार करने के बाद दूसरे दिन मंगलवार को किशोरी के घर में जाकर उस पर कैरोसीन डालकर जिंदा जला दिया। गंभीर रूप से जली छात्रा अस्पताल में जिंदगी और मौत के बीच संघर्ष कर रही है। सोमवार की शाम पांच बजे छात्रा अपने घर के पास बाड़ी में थी। तभी पड़ोसी सौरभ पटेल वहां पहुंचा और उसने किशोरी के साथ दुष्कर्म किया। इसके बाद सौरभ ने जान की धमकी देकर उससे इस बारे में किसी नहीं बताने के लिए कहा था। लेकिन पीड़ित छात्रा ने अपने परिजनों के इस बारे में बता दिया। पीड़िता के पिता नोनेलाल ने बताया कि सोमवार को ही वे बेटी के साथ तेजगढ़ थाने में रिपोर्ट दर्ज कराने पहुंचे। लेकिन प्रधान आरक्षक ने बलात्कार की रिपोर्ट दर्ज करने के लिए पैसे मांगे। इस पर वे वापस आ गए। मंगलवार सुबह फिर से थाना जाने की तैयारी में थे। घर के अन्य लोग बाहर थे और घर में बेटी अकेली थी। तभी सौरभ,उसके पिता परसुराम,चाचा टीकाराम,सीताराम और नन्नू घर में घुसे और बेटी पर कैरोसीन डालकर आग लगा दी। उसके चिल्लाने पर आरोपी भाग निकले। नोनेलाल ने बताया कि बेटी के आवाज सुनकर अंदर गए तो आरोपी भाग रहे थे। एसपी मुकेश श्रीवास्तव ने बताया कि आरोपियों के खिलाफ मामला दर्ज किया गया है।

Sensing an opportunity, former CM Vasundhara Raje and state BJP vice-president Suman Sharma on Saturday joined a condolence meeting for Maya Yadav at her native village in Bachhedi near Bagru. They met family members and heard complaints that police did not cooperate until the local people at Chechat town in Kota district launched a protest against the administration. The BJP also claimed atrocities against women had increased by 20% under the Ashok Gehlot government. She was working thinking that she would be serving the public the nation but she would have never dreamed that her colleagues who also are there to serve the nation and public would rape and kill her.

Lathicharge after 'rape' by police in police station MUZAFFARPUR: Police lobbed teargas shells and resorted to lathicharge to disperse a mob of about 500 CPI (ML) workers and supporters who had on Friday gheraoed the Ahiyapur police station and blocked NH-57 for four hours in protest against alleged rape of a 14-year-old girl by two policemen inside the police station. Muzaffarpur SSP Sunil Kumar admitted use of force against the protesters. "A group of hooligans resorted to violent protests despite the fact that we have taken prompt action in the alleged rape case," he said. A medical board has examined the girl and a parade of the policemen for the victim to identify her tormentors held, the SSP said. "Also, after the incident came to light, I categorically assured the concerned that those found guilty won't be spared," he said. In the TI parade held at the residence of SP (city) Anil Kumar Sinha, the girl identified ASI Kapildev Paswan as one of the two rapists. The ASI was immediately detained for interrogation. Other policemen, who were on duty at the police station during the last four days, have also been put under watch. The medical report of the girl is expected late on Friday evening. Meanwhile, ML leader Suraj Kumar Singh claimed the gherao was peaceful and the agitators turned furious only after police resorted to indiscriminate lathicharge and even fired in the air. He demanded immediate suspension of Ahiyapur PS SHO Sadhna Kumari Singh for protecting the culprits. More than a dozen agitators were injured in the lathicharge, he alleged. When the constable dozed off past midnight, two uniformed men raped her. Next morning, she claimed, she was let off and she reached her maternal native place. Reports of alleged rape reached the SSP late on Thursday evening. He sent a team of policemen to fetch the girl for medical examination. Badlu Ram's wife breaks down as she shares that she has not given up hope for her daughter. Not just for the teenager's survival, but for her escape from a world that seems determined to show her where it thinks she belongs. "My humble prayer is my only daughter should be saved. I want her to complete her education and get married. Law enforcement in India is anything but inefficient. They have power and resources and they know how to use them.It's a question of what role they chose to play. The biggest racket of organized crime in India is run by the police department. Everything happens under their supervision and in most cases, with their assistance. Those who benefit keep changing, but the police officers remain constant. In most parts in India a common man is hesitant to go to police because thats where the harassment starts. Police has also very consistently played the role of the most effective contract killers. If you know the right people and pay the right amount, they will pump a few bullets in a target and leave him on the roadside to come back in the morning to investigate the murder.
