RamP Posted October 22, 2010 Posted October 22, 2010 you guys are mostly recalling nmes from the 90s and early 2000s. let me add a few from the 80s. other older members like outsider, mr wicket can add to it gopal sharma lalchand rajput kirti azad some guy called ghai shivlal yadav (although he has 100 wickets in tests) ashok malhotra :banghead: pranob roy (not the ndtv guy :) Uncle Lal (for all the sound bytes he churns out as a commie, uncle lal has never scored a test or ODI 100) T Shekar arshad ayub sanjeev sharma lamba (the guy used to remove his gloves after every delivery) rashid patel chandra pandit (wk before more came)
Karan114 Posted October 22, 2010 Posted October 22, 2010 ^ Lol, I didn't even know that Lalchand played for India! Only knew him as a fill in coach a few years back.
fineleg Posted October 22, 2010 Posted October 22, 2010 ..I watch cricket as a sport only for fun and entertainment You need to watch some Test matches RR. You will then appreciate slow but steady batting :two_thumbs_up:
maniac Posted October 22, 2010 Author Posted October 22, 2010 lamba (the guy used to remove his gloves after every delivery) I think lamba had a ODI century against Aussies and his career was cut short due to injury. He had a sad ending to his life when he was hit on the head fielding in short fine leg playing leagues in Bangladesh
achilles Posted October 23, 2010 Posted October 23, 2010 Probably the only chance Ravi will get to captain an international team.

ZodiaC Posted October 23, 2010 Posted October 23, 2010 Nightmarish Bowling lineup 1. Ajit Agarkar 2. Bharat Arun 3. dodda Ganesh 4. Harvinder Singh 5. Narendra Hirwani Agarkar doesn't belong to that - he was one of our best limited overs bowler, he didn't live upto the promise, that doesn't mean he's that bad. Abey Kuruvilla belongs there IMO
canadianIndian Posted October 23, 2010 Posted October 23, 2010 Agarkar doesn't belong to that - he was one of our best limited overs bowler, he didn't live upto the promise, that doesn't mean he's that bad. Abey Kuruvilla belongs there IMO There's no difference IMO. I used to shudder when Agarkar came in to bowl especially in ODI. Gavaskar used to call him brave bowler and on occasions called him rich bowler!! He never appeared to c are enough when he went for runs and that just bothered me like hell.
RamP Posted October 23, 2010 Posted October 23, 2010 Nightmarish Bowling lineup 1. Ajit Agarkar 2. Bharat Arun 3. dodda Ganesh 4. Harvinder Singh 5.
