mate, dhoni > any other indian cricketer ever(esp in ODIS) apart frm sachin. YOu take out dhoni, india loses 2 consecutive matches to the zimbos, you take out dhoni, india loses 90% chance to win 2011 WC. Its not tht difficult to replace gangu, sehwag, uv n co in ODIs but dhoni is very indispensible. he is an inspirational leader. captain cool and nerves of steel.

I dont know how is Dhoni ahead of Gangu, Yuvi, Sehwag, Dravid..If this Dhoni Worshippers Challenge me..i can Dig some stats out and make a separate thread showing where Dhoni actually Belongs. He is an inspirational and coolest leader, leads from the front, comes up with his best when the team needs the most (more often than not). One of the best cricketing brains arnd. brilliant keeper, esp. amazing with stumpings and runouts. dhoni(even uptill now) >> uv gangu sehwag esp in ODIs in overall contributions.

God... I get the love for Sachin...I worship him too... I agree that there can be only one Sachin,so can there be only one Kaapil and one Sunny. was checking records just like tht yterday, india has won 21 tests against top oppositions and lost only 8 in which dhoni has played since 2005.

in the record books, no one can beat sach. but in terms of captaincy, keeping, street-smartness , courageous batting and winning the matches for india under him , dhoni is right up there with all time indian greats. SO he cud even match sach in overall contri. by the time he retires IMO
