Sir john Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 Three excellent ODI matches in a row? I missed all of them..didn't watch a single ball' date=' only saw the score cards at the end of the day. :(([/quote'] watch highlights.
girishk14 Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 Who's this weird kid perera? Does anyone know anything about this player? Hez one weird player. With the bat, flopped CL, and many other games, but looks just like pollard when at the crease. Amazing sixes, massive ones. Hez won two games single handedly for his team in crunch situations with strike rate > 200. I still remember him thrasing nehra and praveen around n taking SL to a win when India shud have won the match easily. With the ball, in 13 ODIs, two 5-wicket hauls? Sometimes, comes up with these amazing performances. Other times, leaks 8 runs per over even in ODIS, got thrashed by SRT in IPL, ending his IPL career.

HyroProto Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 think he is a bit like pollard but does the opposite thing.. Pollard is one hell of a player in the Champions League.. but doesn't do too much when he is playing for WI Perera is **** in IPL but do well when playing for SL...same with mathews (classmate)... other than in a couple of matches.. Mathews didnt do too well in the IPL...but he does very well when playing for SL :hmmm:
Andy Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 Dont compare Mathews with Parera, Mathews will win you games from difficult position and against quality opposition and playing away. Parera looks a good bowler but an Ordinary Slogger like Afridi.
HyroProto Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 just mentioned mathews because they are classmates...agree that Perera is a hit or miss slogger
girishk14 Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 what do you mean not even India? It is not like India is guaranteed to pull off miracles? Well SL has mathews, randiv (both classy batsmen) , perera(pinch hitter) and malinga(shows his capacity) batting at the lower order, and S.A has morkel, botha and boucher (at least earlier). Look at who we have, the entire tail heralded by Ravindra Jadeja and Harbajan who are really at sea against quality bowling. Its high time, they made way for Irfan, Ashwin or even Yusuf who can handle pressure with the bat, and are better bowlers as well.
HyroProto Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 last 2 months have been excellent for cricket...I watched live that test match u won against the Ausies in a bit similar fashion with the tail...one of the best test matches I've watched for some time...was privileged enough to see Razak's knock recently live as well...now this hope we can carry this moral foward to the next match...Only 1 more & finaly we could cliam to have won a series in Aus... Asian teams are gearing up nicely for the World Cup..HOORAY for all of us :yay:
saneindian Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 The OP is a lankan troll and he is asking who is Perera lol
Sid Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 The OP is a lankan troll and he is asking who is Perera lol :giggle:
Shane Posted November 5, 2010 Posted November 5, 2010 Australia to lose 8th consecutive International match? After the win against Pakistan in the second week of July, the Oz are yet to win an International Match in 4 months. Anyone aware of their longest loosing streak in all forms?
Cricket_Guru Posted November 5, 2010 Posted November 5, 2010 Guess who started this amazing trip for them! :--D
EnterTheVoid Posted November 5, 2010 Posted November 5, 2010 The losing streak stands at 9 matches but that result is slightly misleading. The 9 match losing streak includes ALL FORMS of Cricket --- i.e. Tests, ODI's and T20's. Since when did losses in T20 matter ?
DomainK Posted November 5, 2010 Posted November 5, 2010 Guess who started this amazing trip for them! :--D Goes to show that it was a weak team you beat. And just before that, you lost to the same team- the team that has been continuously losing ever since.

International matches, if it suits you dont consider the T20, there was only 1 played :cantstop:
