fineleg Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 Galaxy is a Tablet based on Android. http://galaxytab.samsungmobile.com/ http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2371501,00.asp Touted as the first real direct competitor to the Apple iPad, the Samsung Galaxy Tab has arrived at our doorstep. We're eager to get to testing so we can tell you just how the tablet stacks up, but typically we'd first take some unboxing shots to show you everything you'll get if you buy a Galaxy Tab. The only problem: Our Galaxy Tab review unit came in a simple FedEx box, wrapped in bubble wrap with only its power cord. No plastic shrink wrap, no pretty packaging, no documentation, no nothing. Still, we took plenty of hands-on shots of the hardware and the interface to give you a quick look at the Galaxy Tab while you wait for our full, lab-tested review The Samsung Galaxy Tab is the first Android tablet I can take seriously. It's well-built, elegant, and fast. No, Android 2.2 doesn't fit as perfectly onto a tablet as Apple's iOS does. But at the right price, this may provide the first real challenge Apple has had in the U.S. tablet market. fineleg Posted October 27, 2010 Author Posted October 27, 2010 The competition with the major tablets include the HP Slate 500, or Samsung Galaxy Tab? The Tablet idea has been out for quite awhile and is growing slowly but surely in this trending economy. These daily used Tablet PC’s provide users with apps, downloads, Internet access, and so much more. The fact of the matter is not only sales, but who, and why people find enjoyment with these amazing devices. The fact of the matter is that men 35 years and younger take up a huge majority of Tablet sales at 2/3rd’s. This is great, but wouldn’t be even that much better if almost half of the consumers borrowed them out to friends? Well, this is a truthful fact that takes the 2010 trends to the next level. Apple recently has claimed to sell 4.19 Ipads. Alongside Ipad is the Mac which sold 3.89 million devices. Finally the Iphone has sold 14.1 million. Between the competition Apple may be on top for most sales, but the Mac seems to be catching up and who knows, maybe even zoom right ahead. Many of the Ipad users do not even use the available apps which Mac hopes to change that around within the upcoming months. It’s unanimous, many feel the sales of Tablets will only rise in the future. For the tech savvy folk this wouldn’t seem like a surpriing ordeal, but to the people beginning there computer experience on a device, this is astonishing.

fineleg Posted October 28, 2010 Author Posted October 28, 2010 For ebook reading, do ya'll prefer a dedicated ebook reader such as Kindle or the iPad/Tablet? Heard good things abt the eInk used in the kindle - its easier on the eyes.

fineleg Posted October 28, 2010 Author Posted October 28, 2010 Well WTF were you doing writing crap posts which were personal and offtopic anyway? Next time, learn to be more civil in your posts, and the courtesy will be reciprocated. No personal taunts even if disguised as jokes.

fineleg Posted October 28, 2010 Author Posted October 28, 2010 ^ Hmm...you are a Mod (not sure whether you are Mod for chitchat, neverthless a longstanding member/Mod at ICF), and instead of asking taunts or indecent comments to be kept aside, you are laughing. And when taunts are hurled at you, I'm sure you will ask folks to "refrain from indecent comments". You can always tell me to 'report the post' - since thats the official route. I know that, but neverthless I find it ironical you dont find anything indecent in pkay's stmt which I did not respond to for a long time. No one cared about it, and eventually I responded back to him.
The Outsider Posted October 28, 2010 Posted October 28, 2010 ^ Tissue, finey? :(( I don't moderate Chit Chat or Politics, found PK's comment hilarious, and laughed.
