Guest prince Posted November 12, 2010 Posted November 12, 2010 Munaf Patel watch thread - Bowling performance in Ranji Trophy Super League for Baroda 1st match - Orissa v Baroda 1-4 November 2010 (4-day match) Missed the match due to illness 2nd match - Haryana v Baroda 10-13 November 2010 (4-day match) Haryana 1st inning : 4 wickets for 34 runs Haryana 2nd inning : 1 wicket for 56 runs Overall : 5 wickets for 90 runs @ 18 runs Result : Baroda won by an innings and 33 run p.s. This is exclusive Munaf Patel thread so it will be in the best interest not to talk about other pace bowlers as this will just lead to another Indian pace bowlers bashing thread. This thread is just to check Munaf's performance in domestic cricket this season for Baroda. I will try my best to keep updating it.

Guest prince Posted November 12, 2010 Posted November 12, 2010 haha.. nice one howeever, if you are not particular about Munaf then we can convert this thread in, watch Thread for all indian fast bowlers, including RP, Vinal Kumar, Sudeep Tyagi, A Mithun, Sir Eggy, Irfan Pathan, L Balaji, Deepak Chahar, P Kumar etc.. I'm not a munaf basher what so ever, I don't think he will be selected for India in near future so he's likely to play full domestic season for baroda, I just want to see how he performs because in the past 4 years i don't think he has played a full season for domestic cricket team. Nice suggestion to make it all indian pace bowlers thread who have played for india in past couple of years but then it will just turn in to another thread like "how rubbish indian bowlers are, they have got no pace, which bowler should play for india, etc..." My idea is to keep it exclusive munaf patel thread:winky:

Guest prince Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 3rd match - Baroda v Uttar Pradesh at Vadodara, Nov 17-20, 2010 Uttar Pradesh 1st inning : 4 wickets for 49 runs

hari504504 Posted November 20, 2010 Posted November 20, 2010 if Munaf can bowl off-spin, he can take bhajji's place..
Guest prince Posted November 20, 2010 Posted November 20, 2010 3rd match - Baroda v Uttar Pradesh at Vadodara, Nov 17-20, 2010 Uttar Pradesh 1st inning : 4 wickets for 49 runs Uttar Pradesh 2nd inning : 3 wickets for 46 runs Overall : 7 wickets for 95 runs @ 13.57 runs Result : Uttar Pradesh won by 32 runs Impressive bowling from Munaf in both innings. Once again very economical bowling with 2.57 and 2.07 economic rate respectively in both innings.

daryl1985 Posted December 27, 2010 Posted December 27, 2010 He is having a very good season. Thanks a lot for the updates Prince.
msb1991 Posted December 27, 2010 Posted December 27, 2010 It is rather a shame that he is missing the semi final due to the ODI series. At most, I think he will be an okay ODI bowler, whereas I think he could be a very effective and useful Test bowler.
Manny_Pacquiao Posted December 27, 2010 Posted December 27, 2010 i wish he was in the test XI instead of sreesanth. the guy can land a ball in the same spot 6 times whcih is a priceless skill on bowler friendly pitches like the ones we have in SA they should fly him in for cape town. not happening tho
msb1991 Posted December 27, 2010 Posted December 27, 2010 Who knows, he may have not bowled in Railways' second innings because they are flying him over. Fingers crossed!
