diegovegaz Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 pujara deserves to be play, he is more technically correct than raina but, raina has been doing well but has struggling against vettori this series so, i'd stick to raina for the moment he will fire
Guest Gunner Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 Both should be in the team..They are the next-gen players....The Tuk-Tuk DRAWid needs to be kicked out.. I entirely agree with this post. Time for dravid to go, his innings today was cringeworthy.
fineleg Posted November 22, 2010 Author Posted November 22, 2010 18 votes for Pujara 1 person voted for Raina
hari504504 Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 Raina would be an easy prey in the savannahs... bounce and gone...
cowboysfan Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 i think pujara is a better test batsman than raina but dropping raina for such a pivotal series in his career will severely hamper his test future.
urbestfriend Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 Comon...Raina hasn't performed to the expectation in this series but he's got this place after good performances during his fringe days. He definitely deserves more chance , inshallah he'll cement his place.
King Tendulkar Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 Maybe VIjay and Pujara are better bets for test side. Saying that not writing Raina of. I feel he will play 1st test in SA and may well deliver. Really good competition for places and no doubts that raina will be feeling some heat now and looking over his shoulder. I do feel raina will come good though
IKnowU Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 Everyone votes for Pujara because he is the latest bandwagon that came into town. When Yuvraj was batting **** who was the bandwagon everyone jumped on???:giggle: :headshake: Once that unadkat kid gets his debut and performs well everyone will jump on his bandwagon until his wheel fall off. We already have a list of causalities that succumbed so far.........Ishant, Raina, Sreesanth, soon to be Ohja and Pujara
achilles Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 bring back manjrekar :protest: He's better talking about "Tyen-dulkar" in the commie box along with Arun "scenery" Lal.
gaurav92 Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 ^:offtopic: Cheteshwar Pujara is my first choice.
pensionplan Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 Love Raina. The kid has a great attitude and will serve Indian cricket for years. But in this case for Tests in SA I have voted for Pujara in the XI. This guy is business like in his approach and has the temperament to come up on tops in SA. No point in having him on the bench any further. Time to draft him into the XI. Pujara over Raina.
vaibhav_delhi Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 Pujara's got to be in. I dont care in whose place, Raina or Dravid. He is future No.3 for india. Though I love Raina .
Kumar Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 For me this is a tough decision indeed, I have been supporting Raina for a while and think hes been doing fine, cant always perform well! A big reasons to pick him is hes a leftie, and par gambhir I always think a leftie in the middle order is always useful indeed, which is a big reason for choosing him! Despite that I know like many of you, he has a problem with short pitch stuff, and he will receive alot in RSA! whilst for pujara, his technique is much better, and with an impressive debut I think he deserves a place, though tough decision to make For me pujara but for Dhoni Raina
ZodiaC Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 I love Raina, he'll be our regular test player in future for sure, but for me it's Pujara all the way. The guy has done superbly in A tours, domestics, in tough conditions and what not. And played a nearly flawless innings on debut under pressure. Given Raina's below par outing in this series, I won't give it a second thought. Though I believe Raina will get a game in the series first up (in which I hope he'll do well to prove us all wrong).
saneindian Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 Raina will do well in the ODIs vs the kiwis and then will fire in SA as well.
ZodiaC Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 Raina will do well in the ODIs vs the kiwis and then will fire in SA as well. Hope so.
