fineleg Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 I think Raina will still get into 11 for Test-1, but if he fails, then high chance of Pujara getting into the 11. Raina has been given a good run in the NZ series, but he has not grabbed the chance on Indian pitches. The 6th batsman spot is still up for grabs.
asterix Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 Both should be in the team..They are the next-gen players....The Tuk-Tuk DRAWid needs to be kicked out..

Haha! :haha: The tuk-tuk is who has prevented a total collapse on morning of day-3 We are talking TEST matches, not the T20 IPL variety :giggle:

fineleg Posted November 22, 2010 Author Posted November 22, 2010 He was the reason of the collapse.. Right, Dravid made Tendulkar edge in the first few overs, and then Dravid bowled the swinging delivery to Laxman and Dravid made Raina lunge forward :cheer:
bihutoli Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 Pujara is a class above Raina, and all our current 'nex gen' bats. He'll be our next great imo.
IKnowU Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 Raina.......the doom and gloom against Raina is in full effect already :headshake:
achilles Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 I'd prefer Grade A technique over Grade A contract.
gsivak Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 I think Raina will be a good test player in the long run. What he needs now is some rest. Pujara should be allowed to play instead of Raina till he gets back his form.
IKnowU Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 I'd prefer Grade A technique over Grade A contract. I prefer long term success over instant success :finger:
achilles Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 I prefer long term success over instant success :finger: Success comes from opportunity. I'm sure you know that.
gsivak Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 Raina has potential but we can't afford to keep him in current form. We need all our batsmen to fire collectively in SA. Pujara is fresh and will be motivated. I say give him the chance.
IKnowU Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 Success comes from opportunity. I'm sure you know that. Im sure you also know that opportunity comes from success which Raina has shown.
achilles Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 Im sure you also know that opportunity comes from success which Raina has shown. Ofcourse. How insensitive of me. *One Bouncer.... coming up* :cantstop:
Andy Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 Ofcourse. How insensitive of me. *One Bouncer.... coming up* :cantstop: I think you need to stop getting into argument with Tontee Tonteee Fans.:giggle:
achilles Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 I think you need to stop getting into argument with Tontee Tonteee Fans.:giggle: :(( Raina hasnt got a single vote Even Sri hasn't voted for him? What an irony, given the discussion :giggle:
