Its all about the players performance for CSK, which matters, not their records Vijay performed amazingly well in the last edition along with CL, also he chipped in with few useful scores in IPL2. He even surpassed Haydos to become the 1st choice opener for the team. Hussey, except the initial fireworks in IPL1 has not contributed a great deal to the team CSK should go all out to get back Ashwin, Dougie, Murali and also players like Uthappa, Yusuf, Rayudu etc

Although they won the league with Vijay making some valuable contributions, who would want to buy Vijay over Hussey? Vijay only bloomed last season, before that he was worth zilch. Hussey can provide you with consistent score game after game that too as a closing finisher which is rare.

Ganguly should have retired because he has nothing more to offer and that would be the most dignified response Dravid/Laxman should have retired because his 1 or 2 more years in test cricket is much more important than IPL and its not like they are carrying their team like Sachin

What was his S/R in comparison to Raina since you brought the name up. I am sure they are not in the same zipcode. To me it is a no brainer. Ganguly does not belong in a 20-20 team leave alone leading one when all aspects of 20-20 game is taken into consideration. This guy is a huge turn off. Never runs hard. Cannot up the ante when needed leaving the onus on his partner to get the big hits. It is a joke he wants to open in a 20-20 game. The best away to ensure that he does not appear in the top 3 spots is to strip him of his captaincy. At least then when he goofs up in a couple of games they can bench him.

Raina had S/R of 142 and Ganguly about 117. But in this way even Kallis (who was 2nd highest scorer in IPL 2010 with 572 runs) had a strike rate of 115 and so he also would'nt belong to T20 according to you.:hmmm:

For all the teams that were led by a player in 2 or more IPL's Ganguly is the only captain to have not taken his team to a SF. Out of the 8 IPL teams that played in all the 3 IPL's, KKR is the only team not to have made it to the SF. It is not a coincidence. There is nothing Ganguly brings to the table that warrants him to lead a side or be an automatic choice in a playing XI. In fact it is a step backwards if one were to carefully analyze KKR's 3 IPL seasons. Ganguly brings a big ego and a huge baggage with him and that most times can be detrimental to the team. Compare that with teams that had a VVS or a RD. There was no problem when DC benched VVS nor did BRC when they had not batted RD in a quite a few games letting the likes of Kohli and Uttappa etc to bat up instead when needed. Of course VVS and RD are pro's par excellence and never ever had a run in with a captain or a coach ever. Ultimate team men that really do not need the circus shop 20-20 to validate their greatness and they know that too.

First off Kumble did bench Kallis in a couple of games who was off mark in the last IPL. And Kallis is an option with the ball as well, that runs hard and does all the other things asked of him. One needs to analyze things beyond stats and see who belongs on a 20-20 field and who does not.

Is that why the rest of the KKR legends piling up runs at some kick ass s/r? :hmmm: s/r of 117 is acceptable for the runs he's been getting. And yeah, stripping of gang's captaincy worked miracles in IPL 2. And you should prolly try to ***** less, IMO.

And about :kkr:, I doubt how they managed to win with bowlers like Aggy, Ishanth and Mathooz (not even bowling part time for SL these days) bowling in tandem. And mashallah next season we'll see the legendary Mohd Irfan who got ***** raped in bowler friendly conditions. I seriously hope some other team gets him, even as a player. Don't have much hope for :kkr: tbh. And SRK doesn't give a **** about winning.
