This myth was busted in the very first season of IPL...if u were Aussie you had to be good. Ofc some names made a mark in the first season like Marsh, Watson but the better strategy turned out to be picking up of local. domestic players. For one, they had an advantage of 1 in 7 to make it to the 11 than the Aussie guys who had a 1 in 4 chance.
