rkt.india
Yamuna flowing through the hills and Vyasi Hydroelectric power project site. Riding bikes on this route is an out of the world experience. Scenes hypnotize you. You cannot take your eyes off. Fiorst you are constantly going up and up at the hills and reach real height, road isn't very wide and when you look at down while on bike then it is not for weak hearted people. Then you come down and again go up. These pics actually cannot do the justice to the beauty of these terrains, just 20 odd kms away from my home. rkt.india
Ichari Dam on River Tons. Tons river is sometimes also identified as river Saraswati mentioned in vedic text which had its independent course before it became a tributory of Yamuna after a tectonic event in the Shivalik range, but this theory isnt accepted universally. rkt.india
Tons river carries more water than Yamuna and separates the hills of Himachal and Uttarakhand before it merges into Yamuna just before Khodri Power Plant near Dakpathar Barrage. Colors of Water of Yamuna and Tons also differ. Yamuna's water looks more clear than Tons. Water of Tons has a greenish hue as seen in this pic. It might be due to the elements of mountain rocks.
