vaibhav_delhi Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 Who are the players that opponents need to be wary of? The players who could take the game away on their own. Name one player from each team.
vaibhav_delhi Posted December 9, 2010 Author Posted December 9, 2010 I would start: Australia -- M Hussey, experienced pro at finishing off the matches. Mr cricket :p England -- Morgan, stylish and cool lefty who's arrival has changed englands fortunes in the ODIs. Brilliant player under pressure. Has already played some sensational innings'. India -- Dhoni (??) Captain cool, one of the best finishers. Brilliant player under pressure. One of the biggest hitters. NZ -- Franklin, been superb with the bat in last two ODIs. Good enough for 5-8 overs. Pakistan -- Akhtar, fastest bowler, senior pro in ODIs brilliant death bowler. SriLanka -- Malinga, brilliant yorkers, change of pace, slingy n deceptive action. Saffers -- Ingram, exciting and talented youngster. Was superb against the pakiz. The surprise factor for the WC. WI -- Gayle, explosive n powerful opener. Windies fortunes will revolve around what kind of starts he can provide.
thongale Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 Keep an eye on Sehwag, Dilshan, Malinga, Swann, Pollard, Gayle and White
vaibhav_delhi Posted December 9, 2010 Author Posted December 9, 2010 Keep an eye on Sehwag' date=' Dilshan, Malinga, Swann, Pollard, Gayle and White[/quote'] I also thought about Sehwag,White n Swann. Good choice those 3. Tendulkar could also have a crucial hand.

If not on his day will change the course of a match with his hitting.

vaibhav_delhi Posted December 9, 2010 Author Posted December 9, 2010 not even 1 bowler in the list :omg: none in your list either(afridi is more of an allrounder )
saneindian Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 not even 1 bowler in the list :omg: WC 2011 is being played in the sub continent. We will hardly see a dangerous bowling spell from a bowler taking 3-4 wickets at a go. Thats why no bowlers in the list of "dangerous players for the WC". The only ones who can com close are Swann for England, Gul for Pakistan and Malinga for Sri Lanka. But Morgan, Umar Akmal and Dilshan are more dangerous players than them in those teams :--D
