hari504504 Posted December 10, 2010 Posted December 10, 2010 Main Role: Bowler Batting : RHB - I am a complete stone-waller. Help keep one end-up and let my partner do the scoring. Bowling: I am ambidextrous. I can bowl Right/Left arm orthodox spin/seam depending on the batsman's weakness.
Sachinism Posted December 10, 2010 Posted December 10, 2010 Batting: I'd say same as you. May not score too quickly, but I can do a damn good job blocking lol Occasionally can score quickly Bowling: Left arm seam/swing. Though nowadays I bowl off spin
dhillon28 Posted December 10, 2010 Posted December 10, 2010 Batting (RHB), my primary skill- live in England and hence when play with the red ball adopt a completely orthodox technique with no shots accross the line (apart from pull) and rely on timing rather than power, when the ball is moving prodigiously like to play as late as possible and with soft hands favourite shots- pull shot or anwhere in the v part time- leg spin/medium pace- quite average fielding- excellent at catching and very poor at throwing esp long throws
hari504504 Posted December 10, 2010 Author Posted December 10, 2010 adopt a completely orthodox technique with no shots accross the line Ditto...:giggle:... Everything I play is within the 'V' except for the pull shot...
Late Cut Posted December 10, 2010 Posted December 10, 2010 Right hand opening bat and part time leggie. Playing on matted wickets primarily means playing a lot of shots on the rise. I love the horizontal bat shots and like to play of my back foot. I am very much a "confidence" player- the less i think the better i play. My fav shots are the leg glance, late cut and hook. As for my leg spin, i tend to either have great line and length or bowl absolute rubbish.
Cricketics Posted December 10, 2010 Posted December 10, 2010 Right Arm bowler - Seamer Right hand bat - Team don't trust my batting, and never given proper chance . Sometimes 7th Down, sometimes come in as no. 11 after coming here in U.S in India I was more of a special middle order bat who could bowl well.
Serani Posted December 10, 2010 Posted December 10, 2010 Right arm EXPRESS, well hopefully next season after extensive gym work. Batting-dirty slogger, lick a few sixes no probs but usually have a brain fart, kinda like afridi without the hype. Fielding- top notch at point or cover, nothing gets past me.
Ram Posted December 10, 2010 Posted December 10, 2010 Bowling – Left arm medium, Strong points – Have good control (no no-balls, wides etc..), can swing new ball and can bowl long spells (5-6 overs) without too much loss in control or loss in pace. Batting – Slogger, pure and simple. If I hit, it stays hit but the problem is, more often than not, I don’t hit. Fav shots – Clear front leg and smash it to mid-wicket and pull. I am primarily a back-foot player so I am very susceptible to the full length delivery. Most common mode of dismissal, not surprisingly, are bowled and lbw. Fielding – Safe fielder. Very good with high balls. Have a strong arm and an accurate throw. Fav fielding position – Long-on.

Late Cut Posted December 10, 2010 Posted December 10, 2010 Right Arm bowler - Seamer Right hand bat - Team don't trust my batting, and never given proper chance . Sometimes 7th Down, sometimes come in as no. 11 after coming here in U.S in India I was more of a special middle order bat who could bowl well. I have seen stuff like that happen all the time. A friend of mine was in the U-19 Haryana team as an offspinner. He came to the US and became a Medium Fast bowler/ batsman where he averaged in the mid fourties for a few years, absolutely lost all batting form ( i have no idea why) while increasing his pace and bounce and became the opening bowler.
Ram Posted December 10, 2010 Posted December 10, 2010 5-6 overs isn't a long spell. :haha: 3 seasons back I used to bowl 8-10 over spells every game I am talking about in the game. We mostly played only 25 overs/side games. A bowler was allowed to bowl only 5 overs max. :hitler: In practice, I used to go for a lot longer.
hari504504 Posted December 10, 2010 Author Posted December 10, 2010 5-6 overs isn't a long spell. :haha: 3 seasons back I used to bowl 8-10 over spells every game Regardless of seam/spin.. I don't bowl more than 5-6 even if I am on a wicket-spree..:omg:
Serani Posted December 10, 2010 Posted December 10, 2010 I have bowled 15 overs in a 50 over game on a few occasions but due to ECB fast bowling regulations cant bowl more than 7 in a spell at my age.
Late Cut Posted December 10, 2010 Posted December 10, 2010 I don't know why a Quick would want to bowl a spell longer than 5-7 overs in limited over cricket.
Holysmoke Posted December 10, 2010 Posted December 10, 2010 I bat like Tendulkar, bowl like Swann, and field like Dwayne Leverock.
Late Cut Posted December 10, 2010 Posted December 10, 2010 I bat like Tendulkar' date=' bowl like Swann, and field like Dwayne Leverock.[/quote'] :hysterical: This post needs pictures!
dhillon28 Posted December 10, 2010 Posted December 10, 2010 Ditto...:giggle:... Everything I play is within the 'V' except for the pull shot... you must be an attractive batsmen to watch then!!
hari504504 Posted December 10, 2010 Author Posted December 10, 2010 you must be an attractive batsmen to watch then!! if you like single-double cricket and hate boundaries..I am bradman.. allergic to boundaries..
Sachin=GOD Posted December 10, 2010 Posted December 10, 2010 if you like single-double cricket and hate boundaries..I am bradman.. allergic to boundaries.. I play only in boundaries...............no singles/doubles for me because I'm very, very bad in running between the wickets :haha:
King Tendulkar Posted December 10, 2010 Posted December 10, 2010 I bat like Tendulkar' date=' bowl like Swann, and field like Dwayne Leverock.[/quote'] More like you bat like Murali and bowl like Lara!
