thats been happening to him since the day he made his debut but IMO that has'nt (thankfully) affected him in a significant manner. The way he plays, there will be some failures after every few innings but he more than compensates it with those HUGE centuries and double centuries so I've got absolutely no problems with his style of batting - it is carefree but it is not careless so I hope he does not change it ever.

Because of India's good performances and awesome middle order, even when he failed, the heat was not on his so much. He was never considered the reason for failures like Sachin used to be when he was the only batsmen whose fate decided the team There is a big difference being one great batsmen among a handful in the team and being the only one who can carry the team. Because of the presence of stalwarts like Sachin, Laxman, Dravid in the team, the pressure does not fall on Sehwag alone. But once he is the senior most batsman we will see how he copes then. Will he revel in the additional responsibilty and reach greater heights? Time will tell

Its the way he plays against the spinners which is a problem, nothing else. He has to be more sensible in playing the spinners and that is not a very big ask.

Trolling surely!? Not a good idea to ask the most intimidating cricketer in the world to change the way he plays. If he played the way he does, and it always came off he'd top Bradman's average. He scored 63 chasing down 450 plus..even Sharma managed to score 23...ask questions of Laxman, Dravid and Bhajji first. Easy v NZ, didn;t show up here despite experience. Raina played as you'd expect.

++ compared to this eras exposive batsmen, eg. gayle, dilshan , afridi, gibbs, sanath, and even gilchrist, sehwag is miles ahead, and is much more sensible.

Agreed.. One needs to be brave and aggressive to hit super fast bowlers..Some games HE wins some game Bowlers do win as well...but the games he wins ..his team wins that match... Sehwag is a champion batsmen, i feel proud to see him killing ballers..Vishal

There is no point criticizing Sehwag for the way he plays. He plays just like that. Even if he averages 40 in this series, he has done his part. Real trouble is other 6. GG, RD, SRT, VVS and Raina should be able to take care of situations. Why are they so dependent on Sehwag?? If 3 of the other 5 guys fail then the credit has to be given to where it is due, i.e. SA bowlers. GG, RD, VVS and Raina has to step up now. They shouldn't let us down. I know Dhoni and SRT are in form. They need to take maximum responsibility and carry extra burden while others catch up. I just can't believe the way RD is batting these days. He is simply a WALL until he gets that fatal one ball. He looks so rock solid before he gets out. Cann't really figure out. I know for sure VVS will come good. And when that happens we are winning that game. VVS is "Very Victory Sensitive" guy. If he smells a chance to win, he performs damn good. I hope our bowler step up and do something. Lets play with 4 seamers. Hope at least two of them will bowl better. We have Raina/Sehwag/SRT to carry the spinners burden.
