Kallis and his record against Lanka and England

I was checking Kallis's summary against different coutnry..Every player has poor record against one of the teams. Kallis seems to have problem against Lanka, be at home or away...What could be the reason? only 33 against Lanka and what more in England he averages 29....:omg::omg::omg: Does that mean he struggles against Swing??

May be it is hard to say. Need to check out some videos before commenting on that. But if he is really that poor in England then yes, swing is what gets him.

What's his record in Aus? I reckon it's not that great either. Not ATG material for these reasons.

Since Kallis' debut, he averages more in SL than Tendulkar in matches involving Murali, since 2000 (i.e. Kallis' first match in SL). So by stats picking you can do anything. Kallis found it tough against Murali in SL (as did Tendulkar post 2000 era). In SAf against SL he was unfortunate to be at the wrong end of few "once in five years" Fernando spells. His stats against ENG, I don't know why they are so poor. Kallis may not be as good as Sachin or Lara, but definitely ATG. As a player he's up their in top 10 ATGs like Imran, Bradman and Sobers.

Kallis first played in SL in 2000 series. in SAF it was Murali + Fernando who gave him trouble. Fernando had two dream spells against Kallis where he beat him right, left and center before getting him. Harassed by Murali is no shame. But being at the wrong end of a Fernando spell is only better tha being end of a such Agarkar spell.

Useless FTB. Can't even understand why South Africa play him, if all he does is bash minnows. Same with his bowling, can't be bothered to check at the moment but after running a stats guru query I will be sure to create a thread asking why he averages below 35 against some team.

This was not to bash Kallis, I see thread going in that direction. Everyone has a poor record against one or two teams. Even Rahul has struggled in Lanka, I think he does not even have 100 there. I was just surprised to see Kallis record in England and overall record against SL.

Kallis has failed in England, even in tests where BIG runs were scored, he was not getting out to swing. It doesnt swing in every ground over there. I'm guessing he's made 3 tours to England? The last one was hopeless. Not just one bowler either.
