I would like to see a rule for 1-2 players in the squad who have to be "complete rookies" I would like to see them organize camps/sessions anywhere they choose to fill these 'rookie slots' (Something like baseball) B->

Fielding team should be allowed 14 players, with two of them in the third man region(mandatory). This way we can cut down lot of thick edged fours and reduce the extent of lucky slogging.

IPL was supposed to find new Indian talent, develop the current crop. None of that has happened in 3 years. Close the whole thing down is what I recommend

It was supposed to be a money minting exercise from th every beginning. How on earth is 20-20 going to unearth any talent? In fact it can kill a lot of talent if ever it was there.

The IPL will have to limited to 45 days, and it should never be a basis for selection to Indian team. And to add to that, put a rule that IPL is for players that have played the x number of domestic matches and for age beyond y no of years. In general youngsters should not be allowed to play T20.This will make sure that budding players will not start mindless slogging from day one of their career.

Good point. I feel that T20 cricket has not had any positive impact on the game except for increase in revenue in some countries. Increase in revenues and fans base is good for the game but if it comes at the price of decrease in overall quality of the game then I'd rather do without this format.
