And both Andy and Achilles In the 8 tests he has played so far, Raina has got out ONLY ONCE to short pitched stuff/bouncer - to Hilfenhaus against Australia So, keep this "Bouncer and gone" to yourself for comparison, Pujara has got out twice to short balls in his 2 test, now where i see the irony :giggle:

You know what, A batsman can negotiate good deliveries and then Hit a Fultoss straight to the Fielder of the same bowler. And it will go down as "X player cannot Play Y bowler" from the Stats guru. Pujara got out Pulling a Bowl, Raina kept stranded when short deliveries were directed at him, He got out Defending which gives a completely different story. Even Graeme smith has got out Hooking a Short delivery, does that mean he cannot Play short balls?

When Pujara did - he does it with complete control, as if he gifted the wicket When Raina does, he sucks at it excuses after excuses, bottom line is he got out to short balls, And isnt he supposed to be technically awesome and cut out to be the godsent No.3 India are longing for. and also X times better as well. :giggle:

Excuses? Dude we aint Fan boys if the Man who played for India at Number 6 was Named Suresh Raina i would have Backed him. For me its more important that whoever it is Pujara or Raina, India must do well. And if i had to pick a Guy i would have Picked Pujara completely on what i saw so far of Him, Am not a Fan boy, Nor i have dislike for anyone who plays for India? So why will i bring excuses in between? At the end of the day i want INDIA to do well, and i have my bet on Pujara ATM to succeed at Test level over Raina so has of the Other members.

oh you arent Pujara fanboy, i truly believe you :hysterical: else why do you heap praises on someone who has failed in 3 out of 4 innings. Why not extend the same logic to Badrinath. Afterall team is important right. Stop this 'India must do well' bit of crap. Everyone wants India to do well. But when you vehemently support one player and bash another, back it up. There is no problem in saying - you like Pujara and you want him to succeed. Everyone has their favs, but dissing another player to promote the other shows how unbiased you are :giggle: Come out of that closet and be honest with it. I like this Pujara kid as well and want him to succeed as well. He may not be my favorite, but I wouldn't go saying Raina is 100 times better than Pujara, without proper backings. I pulled his stats and his dismissals onlly for counter argument. making praise threads for scoring 10 and 19, holy crap, again i got reminded - Team is more important than player :giggle:

And if you think am a Pujara fan boy then you must be calling the whole Forum Pujara Fan boys. You must stop This BS.

There you go, You have favourites among this two and i have not.
WTF? When did i Bash Raina?:hysterical:
Yes true i want him to succeed, But not at the expense of Raina or anyother Indian. And the Liking and Disliking you are talking about for a player, hasnt yet developed for a Player who has just played 2 matches over a Talented player like Raina. I have said this umpteenth time and here am at it again, I do like Pujara as much as i do Raina, But do not hesitate to pick Pujara in the first 11 over Raina .

I will quote this one and rest the case

I said it, you didnt your posts certainly did I want Raina to play ahead of this Pujara, who has not set the world on fire. I believe Raina will do a better job for India @ No.6 in tests than this Pujara

I dont know which part of my posts made you think , Pujara is my Fav player :dontknow: And it would be good if Raina does better than Pujara because of what i saw of Pujara he will be a First choice Mid order bat in the future, If your words come true we are in for another excellent Batting Pavarhouse in Future too. :giggle:

Spectre.... get your head out of the sand.... Raina's fallacy has been proven over and over again and he needs to work on that.... Pujara has shown promise so far....he needs a bit of luck and application to go along w/ him to have a decent outing. I will definitely give him more chances.... Raina already gotten quite a few ...at least in Tests.

I dont want to go with this all over again He has got out only once to short ball in his test career so far, so what this 'fallacy has been proven' crap are you talking about. Its all perception and in your mind. When i comes to Pujara all you come with excuses, he needs luck, he needs this and that...

Well Said' date=' Sums up Nicely. :nice:[/quote'] Thanks fellow Andy
@post 78 - when you compare X player with Y and say he is X times better' date=' be ready to back it up, 1 good innings out of 4 is no good to go gaga about. Till then stfu[/quote'] Raina has scored 1 100 in his stint. Going by your own standards, you have no case, for in your words - "1 good innings out of 4 is no good to go gaga about". And if you think you can back up Raina's (lack of) performance, you are mistaken coz then that would be a bit hypocritical.
IPL has hurt you very badly after your hero was thrown out, i can see your hate for it. Regarding ganguly/waugh, i said the same thing. It takes time to iron out your flaws. except the fact that ganguly never corrected that in his whole career. waugh was never good at it, yet both scored loads of runs.
I don't have a numero hero. I have heroes. They still plays in the IPL. They are called Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, Anil Kumble. About the last part, I'm yet to see an effort on Raina's part. I think Andy pointed out a few posts back that he still has the same technique he had in '05-'06. Thats bad and he needs to improve, something which we both agree on. Only if he works as hard as gutsyly as Steve and Dada will he come close to achieving what these legends have. I like the passion with which you are talking but buddy you are on the wrong side of the fence on this one.
