punjabi_khota Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 lol @ people claiming chess a sport. Cmon man!! :rotfl:
Sachin=GOD Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 Thats all irrelevent unless they do that stuff whilst playing chess. Its just a game for nerds who are rubbish at real sport. of course!! just because you can't play it, its for people who are rubbish at "real sports".
Asoka Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 correct me if wrong as I have no idea about that sport but I dont think thats possible ( I mean not to that extent) ... but I think even chess players lose some weight during intense matches. Narain Karthikeyan once said that he had lost 15 kilos during one race.Losing of 5-10 kilos is no big deal. There is profuse sweating because the car is so hot and stuffy.Severe dehydration is a major problem the drivers face and they have to undergo adequate training to counter this menace. Yeah chess players do lose some kilos after intense matches, dunno why.Karpov in his 1984 match against Kasparov lost 10 kilos during the course of 2 months inspite of proper diet, regular health checkups and no medical problems.Maybe the stress?
Serani Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 of course!! just because you can't play it' date=' its for people who are rubbish at "real sports".[/quote'] If I played chess I would have to keep it a secret, so uncool.
Asoka Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 And you have no idea what happens to you in a intense chess match. But forget F1 or Nascar ... if Golf , billiards , snooker are sports then soo is chess. +1
Asoka Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 Chess is more of a "mind" sport than a "physical" sport, but it's a sport.Simple as that.
someone Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 England very simple, any people saying India needs a reality check
Serani Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 Chess is more of a "mind" sport than a "physical" sport' date=' but it's a sport.Simple as that.[/quote'] Mind sport isnt sport, connect 4 isnt a bloody sport is it?
Asoka Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 Mind sport isnt sport' date=' connect 4 isnt a bloody sport is it?[/quote'] Ok,ppl will forever be divided on their opinions regarding this topic. For you it isn't a sport, for me it is.Case closed.:icflove:
99.94 Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 Both are absolutely pathetic. As much as it pains me England wins on points.
vaibhav_delhi Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 India has zero sports culture at the school and college level. minimal playgrounds, training facalities and awareness abt coaching and conditioning methods. having said tht, india is better than the english at cricket, kabaddi, boxing, wrestling and chess. Chess is an extreme mental sport. Best sporting nation would be australia followed by the US.

kumble_rocks Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 correct me if wrong as I have no idea about that sport but I dont think thats possible ( I mean not to that extent) ... but I think even chess players lose some weight during intense matches. It's pretty obvious to all of us that you have no idea about any other sports .May I suggest espn.com instead wasting your time on dodgy aniti islamic sites !:--D

King Tendulkar Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 Mods are pathetic. My post was in response to seranis sterotyping of indians. Gave him a taste of his own medicine and shut him up. Yet he is allowed to continue trolling on indians but when give him some back mods step in and delete!
