He is an international sportsmen playing for his country at the highest stage. If that doesnt motivate him but a continous stream of abuses at everyone will, then there is something seriously wrong with both him and his fans. Sledging is different, thats mainly done to distract the opposition, and not to end up looking a clown and distract yourself in that process. Why does everyone has different whips for the same kind of behaviour by different people? If Steyn does it, fine. If Zaheer does it, fine. If Sreesanth does it, hey, its bollocks. He's a human being for heavens' sake. Read this- As I said earlier, it’s not easy to be Shanthakumaran Sreesanth. Playing in a foreign country, fighting for a place in the side, bowling against a very good batting line up, taunted by the crowds, attacked by the opposition captain, ridiculed by the media, isolated by your own teammates, and with no support from your captain. It’s a situation that can break any man. But not this break dancer. With everything stacked against him, he took the second new ball and bowled as well as anyone ever has at the Newlands in Capetown, putting his team into a position of strength in the all important deciding test match. We all know that Sreesanth can be a bit of an ass sometimes. But, by rising above all these challenges thrown at him, he has won a new fan in me and, I suspect, thousands others across the country. Well done Sree. May you bowl like this for years to come

C'mon mate. Thats a touch harsh now. He's groomed- 1. Joginder Sharma, the most epic fast bowler of all time. 2. Manpreet Gony, who did enough at CSK in simply ONE season to earn an Indian cap. 3. Ravindra Jadeja the allrounder of Legendary value. 4. RP Singh, a bowler who Dhoni trusts so much that he's kept him out of the team. As in, we are being harsh to Dhoni. We're looking beyond ourselves. Manpreet is a far superior bowler than Sreesanth. Heck even Jogi is. Do you see the beauty with which they bowl those 110kph balls? These are far superior players to back, than Sreesanth. What if Sreesanth almost won us an inning? For Dhoni, it is more important that he(Dhoni) doesn't get banned for a game. So not getting banned > a match-winning session. Kudos. What if he's mishandled and neglected performers like Ojha? He's a good captain. I mean, he loves his players so much that he backs them by insulting them on a cricket field, at press conferences and will also be the first person to say, "dude, you are not performing well. You are dropped". But hey, he's doing some ancient voodoo to motivate his players by demoralizing them here. Clearly, we are overreacting. All Hail MS Dhoni on this issue. [/rant]

here is nothing wrong in sledging ro saying something to batsmen..every team does this...but the main problem with Sreeshanth is he shows them on his face while others like harris and steyn do it look and flat faced and try to be innocent and also he thinks he is the only one who gets angry, excited, or has adrenalin in his veins....if he wants to sledge he needs not to show his emotions and expressions..this is not a bollywood film to show his acting skills...

The whole team, management and BCCI stood up for Harbhajan. Have you seen how Bhajan used to make faces, sledging and do antics? Where were Sachin, Dravid & Kumble? They were right there and supporting Bhajji..Kumble was the captain.. Where was Sachin? Sitting as a witness in the courtroom, backing his teammate, Bhajan.. Do you know how much Sreesanth has to cop up from the umpires, SA players and not the least, the partisan crown and we have a khassi dant-nipora (grinning) captain making fun of his bowler, right there, on the field.. I will never believe anyone who says Sree swore on someone's family. That boy has some solid Indian roots and he's a gem of a guy off the field. On the field, he is aggressive, in your face, passionate and awesome at his art when on song. I have said this all the time that Sreesanth would've been a legend had he been an Aussie or a Pom. And for us, he would have done a fantastic job under Dada's captaincy, who chooses to back his players, fights his own board for Harbhajan Singh, who was similarly disowned and who was a few days away from flying to Canada to drive trucks for a living. Just because Sree doesn't sledge with a smile on his face is not reason enough to humiliate this guy beyond limit. It is the job of the opposition to cry in the public and we've seen that happen everywhere all the time. But for Dhoni to first humiliate him in the press conference (a disgraceful act of sycophancy) then on the ground then laugh at him when the guy gets bottles thrown at him then humiliate him in the hotel.... for heaven sake, that guy is a friggin human being. No one does this to anyone, even to his worst enemy. This is gotta stop, before we lose a potential spearhead of our attack. We've lost Irfan, we've lost Murali Karthik, we've lost RP Singh, we've lost a lot of players. I'm sure everyone is gonna gang up on Sree for the 30% loss of match fee due to slow overrate in this game, eventhough he's done NOTHING in this game. Enough is enough.
