Does each selector choose his/her preferred 15 and then the lists are compared to see those 15 names which appear most frequently? How exactly is this done? And doesn't Dhoni have any say in the selection of the team?
vamos_rafa Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 3 spinners is ok. We are playing at the sub continent and we need to have 2 spinners in our team IMO. So one of them would be a back up. I think they are going to play with PC as Ashwin is again a offie. Ojha could have been selected as well but his poor batting/ fielding might have let him down. Rohit Sharma is again a 50-50 decision.

Ojha snubbed. ashwin is a super talent, a must for india's WC chance chawla, though he has not played odis for india for 2 years, a leg spinner is always handy, can hit, good feilder too as long as their would bo ne freak injury to dhoni on the day of the match, paarthiv can be on stand by and could be flown when necessary ojha and jaddu have been out of the frame for a couple of series now so, automatically, not considered for the WC

I do not understand the use of carrying Chawla without any reason instead of giving chance to Ojha .. it is almost obvious that Chawla would not get any game whereas Ojha might have got chance if need... otherwise the team selection is very good
