Did people say the same when it was in WI last time around? No, no matter what -- Wi was going to play in WI. Same with England And when SA does share it with Zimbabwe and/or Kenya -- no way in hell they were going to play crucial games in those countries.

Sehwag is a huge asset, moreover he is useful with the ball and he is one of the mentally tough cricketers in the Indian team. On his day he can blow a team apart. I hope India keeps faith in him.

In world cup 2003, Tendulkar was in the form of his life with Dravid playing the anchor role and Ganguly, Yuvraj, Sehwag chipping in with the runs. Gangully also played some match winning innings. Moreover, india's pace bowlers performed consistently well. Most of India's wins were one sided in that tournament. India need momentum from their earlier games and some outstanding performances from the players. In a world cup, plenty of pressre will be on, anything can happen beyond the group stages. It will be a mental test as with the cricketing abilities. India needs an anchor player, I guess that could be Dhoni.

Not to mention we had all our big cricketers at that time (Ganguly, Tendu, Kumble ... blabla). This current team looks weaker on paper than the 2007 team. Not to mention we are going to the WC with a bunch of injuries + out of form players (including the captain)!!!

They have just played worse than us for us to be leading. 1st test : They win the crucial toss. 1st day is an absolute nightmare to bat on with cluody conditions and a damp pitch. Day 2 on, its a flat track. 2nd test : They win the toss again on a damp track. 3rd test : India finally win the toss but there is no damp pitch. 1st ODI : Team batting 2nd has huge dis-advantage. SA wins toss,bats first. 2nd ODI : Team batting 2nd has advantage. India wins the toss but bats 1st. 3rd ODI : Team batting 2nd hasnt won in 11 years. SA wins toss and bats 1st. From the tosses, its pretty clear who has been unlucky here.

Besides, 3 of our top 6 batsmen are not playing here and the 2 biggest failures in this series for India are not even in the WC squad. So yeah, i like our odds at the WC. Isn't SA one of the teams in the WC? I don't suppose that you thought of the possibility that India might also score a bit more than 190? Or do you think that we will always score 190 and shouldnt expect any team to collapse again?
