I think he's misquoted...Tahir was actually referring to the variation in pace which according to him is the key in powerplay

Looks like a good bowler. My saffie mate who saw him in SA rates him very highly, and he doesn't really throw around praises. This guy is good, but we will only know how good he is against sub-continent teams who can play spin well.

Botha is crap for Tests. He has chucked himself out of Tests now. Even in ODIs he doesn't have the variations, he just varies his pace and lengths.His late release, makes him a good bowler in powerplays, and thats about it. Tahir looks a lot more aggressive and attacking spinner. He has a good loop, he tosses it up and buys wickets rather than just contending. Tahir will have a good tournament, but against India at Nagpore, I am sure there wont be much in the wicket to assist the spinners. I expect him to disturb all the oppositions except India :)

Well Indians in SA are going gaga over Amla , remember there is a few million 5th,6th generation SA born indians in SA due to the slave trade in the 1800's that brought Indians to SA to work in the sugar cane plantations . Now we are part of a rainbow nation , that support our Country. but we will still love India as second team .

West Indies players forgot that they had two foot. Anyone who has played cricket at a decent level would know that foot movement n using the depth of the crease are critical when playing spin. If you don't, you're just a sittin' duck :phehehe: Let him play against the sub-continent teams then we can decide :beee:
