I still remember my dad and uncles losing interest in cricket after the 1987 WC when SMG retired. I used to wonder growing up why they lost interest in the game. Now I know why. Thankfully Sachin came on the scene and their passion for the game was back. Hopefully once Goddy retires (which is not happening at least in the next 18-24 months), we will see someone else come through and become the next superstar.
