KKR88 Posted January 30, 2011 Posted January 30, 2011 after tendulkar retires, do you wana see another tendulkar in india?, say someone who is going to bat for another 2 decades and will be as popular as tendulkar is around the world and will achive as much if not more? to me, even though it will be good for the indian team, but i dont want to see another tendulkar. i simply dont want anyone from india ever take or over take tendulkars popularity or postion as cricket,human and god among indians. what about you guys?

Not now and not in future Never before and never again, only now and only for us, there shall be only one SACHIN on this planet.

Zap_Brannigan Posted January 30, 2011 Posted January 30, 2011 The fk? The game is bigger than any player. I'll be happy if another tendulkar comes along, even if he plays for another team. The only problem for me is i dont think anyone else can replace Sachin for me personally because,in a way, me and him grew up together. Me, just starting to watch cricket and understand the nuances of the game and him, just starting his career to becoming the best batsman in the world.

In last 20 years, every thing else have changed around me. Have grown from a kid in to a man. From a fourth grade student to a Consultant. But Sachin's cover drives and straight drives remained same and still give me same happiness as they did 20 years ago. When I look at Sachin's old innings I look at like, oh at time of that innings I was preparing for my board exams or i was taking engineering entrance exams or was in hostel of engineering college or was in my first job or was in B-School. Or may be was in Delhi or Bangalore, was in Europe , was in US etc.. All in all, he has been more than a player who just happened to play cricket during my growing years. There may be other player as good as Sachin and may be from India only, but for me there would be no other Sachin.

I dont think you understand what it was like to grow up watching and admiring Sachin Tendulkar. Some things become a part of life.
