Afaik, its just there for people to fill up the languages box. I was taught Sanskrit from 5th to 8th standard in kv and I don't remember a thing. I haven't seen anyone follow up after school except maybe veda classes (which I went to too, still don't remember much).

Its like when we have Quran classes, they teach us some Arabic and we forget it later in life. But many still make it a point to mention it on their CVs even if they can't call for a chicken burger and rice in the language, should the need arise. :P I was asking because I remember having read somewhere that those who are good with Mathematics tend to catch Sanskrit very fast. Or maybe it was the other way. Is it true?
