Clarke Posted February 20, 2011 Posted February 20, 2011 The non test playing countries might not be expected to qualify for the QFs but their performances might very well decide who's A1 vs B4 and so on. NZ made a bright start to their campaign with a thumping victory over Kenya and have a solid NRR to start with. Would you prefer India play full strength against Netherlands & Ireland ? Is it okay to rest Zak/Sehwhack for either/both game(s) ? I'm sure we would love to maintain our playing XI all across the tournament provided there are no injury concerns. The same dilemma must apply to other teams as well wherein players are returning from injuries.
Sir john Posted February 20, 2011 Posted February 20, 2011 how can you say/assume that Ireland and Holland are going to play poor criket too?
Ultimate_Game Posted February 20, 2011 Posted February 20, 2011 Fortunately there's generally a gap of nearly a week's rest in India's games (India's games are mostly over the weekends) which will allow India to play the best team as one week should be more than enough to get over minor niggles. If it's a serious injury then the player shouldn't be in the squad and we should get a replacement for him.
vvvslaxman Posted February 20, 2011 Posted February 20, 2011 They need as much practice as possible because gap between games is too big.
