And The Stupid OP is the one who decided to compare batting averages and also people in the thread decided to say what they have done for their teams so i am showing why afridi is better then bhaji, looking at the stats how i wish we could transfer him into our team. Yous missed the point I was trying to make. Afridi played 186 innings batting in the top 5. Thats alot of chances to score some runs. And when he does all he has to do is do a decent job with the ball and thats why player being used as all rounder have bigger chances at winning MoMs. Ifran Pathan started winning a bunch of MoMs when he was playing as a pinch hitter as well. IMO Afridi isn't really an allrounder. He's a better than average part time bowler and a better than average Tail end Slogger. If he was a good bowler why is Pakistan Playing that crap Hafeez instead of a genuine Batsman. If he was a good batsman why is Ajmal on the bench in place of Hafeez? Harbhajan on the other hand is an average specialist spinner and an average Tailender in ODIs.

On the other hand, Harbhajan Singh has played very useful winning cameos for India with bat both in odis and tests. But even after that, yes Afridi has more batting talent if I can say that. Bowling wise, Harbhajan Singh murders Afridi though Afridi is also economical in odis but in tests he is a no show.

Ultimate_Game Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 Just a reality-check for everyone... the tourney is across month and a half and 9 games. We are still into GAME 2! Lot of things have to happen yet. For folks who are having a go at India, India still is unbeaten and managed to come back when their opponents needed to score just 58 runs off 48 deliveries with 8 wkts in hand on one of the best batting tracks you will ever see. Say what you want about India but they will fight every game as witnessed in the recent past - 2 close odi victories against SA when India were nearly out of the match, win against NZ in Dec (where Pathan scored a match-winning 100 to get us victory out of nowhere), warm-up win against Aus and now this tie against Eng when the spectators had already started walking out of the stadium! Everytime India looked down and out for the count, they have somehow responded and come back. That's a great quality to have and no matter what happens, someone will still need to beat India :smiley:
