KXIP001 Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 Really its time for Indian cricket to find many more young talents for the good future of it in the future also. Its time for many of our senior players to retire from the game. They have really worked hard and really lifted all the burdens on their shoulders and brought the Indian to the top of the table in many ways. So their places have to be replaced by many young talents who could really built up themselves as well as the team as like our senior players. Really its tough for all to do so. But there are also some young players to do so in all formats of the game. Who are all such young players to do in all formats of the game and in all aspects????
don_corleone840 Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 1 Laxman will be replaced 2 dravid is just a waste of space these days so any one can replace him.(probably virat kohli) 3 no one can replace goddy.
achilles Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 This is my pick of the replacements in both forms of the game: Sachin -- Virat Rahul -- Che VVS -- Raina, provided he takes his game to the next level. Else, Yuvi.
vvvslaxman Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 I like to see how Mukund is. He has had a fabulous season. Also Badri should be given one more chance. Then the usuall suspects Pujara, Rahane. Flashy players like Uthappa, Manish Pandey, Tiwary, Rohit will have to alter their game to get a long and permanent spot in the squad. I think Karthik will make a come back.

Else, Yuvi. Too early to comment on virat. But Raina is definitely incapable of reaching anywhere near VVS. Even if he tries twenty20 and ipl tamasha will not allow him to
ganeshran Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 VVS is something special, he will be hard to replace.
Sid Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 VVS is something special' date=' he will be hard to replace.[/quote'] All 3 of them are special, all 3 will be difficult to replace
vvvslaxman Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 VVS is something special' date=' he will be hard to replace.[/quote'] Azhar was replaced ably by his state player Laxman. But looking at the current Hyderabad team we just have to abandon that thought.
straight.drive Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 ^^ leave alone VVS, we cannot even produce a batter as accomplished as Sir Aggy...
achilles Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 If Raina & Yuvi fail, I think Rohit Sharma would be a good bet.
ganeshran Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 How is Rayudu in tests? Any good or simply hyped?
vvvslaxman Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 How is Rayudu in tests? Any good or simply hyped? He is good for IPL that's it. This is the first class stat for this season http://stats.espncricinfo.com/indiandomestic2010/engine/records/batting/most_runs_career.html?class=4;host=6;id=2010/11;type=season

Dont want us to go through the same phase Aussies are going in the tests where the seniors werent replaced by worthy players.
KXIP001 Posted February 28, 2011 Author Posted February 28, 2011 thnks u all for ur replies i also think that virat kohli will be the next shining star in this religion
Hell Raiser Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 At this point the only player that is showing promise is Virat. He is a suitable replacement once Dravid retires. It won't be easy to perform like dravid but Virat certainly has the potential to do so. No one can replace Sachin. Rohit sharma is not able to perform on the big stage uptill now. Maybe he can perform well in test matches and should be given chance in test arena because he is too talented to be ignored, but the onus is on Rohit to show some hunger to get into the team.
