Shane Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 Been listening to his views over the WC Post Games, very incisive, thought out comments from him, amongst the stupidity between Harsha and Sidhu, Ganguly's views really stands out and makes the match day programme more watchabale, during the early matches he looked uptight and wasnt at ease, mainly due to Sidhu and his OTTness. But in Sidhu's absence, we can really get an insight into a former captain's thought process. The best post match show was the one he had with Reeve. i think after the England match. Excellent choice by ESStar to have Ganguly in the panel. Alan Wilkins in place of Harsha and eliminating Sidhu totally would make the programme a must watch. No, this is not an advert from ESPN/Star
Sid Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 Impressive ,always calls a spade a spade,no nonsense comments very unlike the bigmouth Sidhu
zaheer Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 Excellent choice by ESStar to have Ganguly in the panel. Alan Wilkins in place of Harsha and eliminating Sidhu totally would make the programme a must watch. This and bring in Barry Richards!
straight.drive Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 Add Nasser and Athers to the list. That would be my dream...

straight.drive Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 ^^ I agree that athers is a india baitor. But still i prefer him over Harsha or Sidhu.
Lord Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 yeah his analysis is top class.just feels hes too shy n fumbles a lot, with time he can be excellent
ganeshran Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 He always has that sheepish smile.. wonder why ?
Dinx - the Jinx Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 Spot on Shane with your observation. Ganguly has been quite a revelation. Talks to the point and doesnt get carried away. een with Siddhu irriates with his over te top banters, never once did he show any irritation. He did not get into an argument with him even though he disagreed with every point that Sidhu made. So, if Ganguly is kept away from Sidhu, he wil be allowed to takl a lot more and we can get to hear more insights. Yestreday i was watching him on another show on Headlines Today along with Naser. Naser kept calling him a slogger :haha: PS: Siddhu along wth Tony Greig could be a nice combo.
Dinx - the Jinx Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 OMG - Siddhu and Ganguly were room mates in Eng in 1996
vaibhav_delhi Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 Ganguly seems like a No-nonsense guy and makes some very good points...
Shane Posted February 24, 2011 Author Posted February 24, 2011 I am truly amazed how Ganguly manages to keep his cool with someone like Sidhu yapping over his shoulder, even Greig lost it over some orange camel comment :cantstop:
Andy Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 But I heard his English skills are Very Poor? In fact Lack of it. Mariyam to Enlighten the Board on that after This Post.
Zero_Unit Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 Is it just me or does anyone else find's sidhu F'ing annoying? When ever someone is trying to explain/say something he cuts in the middle and points his finger toward the camera and says something stupid. Just like the other day where Tony G was explaning on why the Indians are not supportive of UDRS, Sidhu didn't even let him finish his sentence and butts in middle and gets the cammera attention and screams out THEY MUST ACCEPT and bangs on the table ... I was like WTF
Jersey #10 Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 ganguly is completely opposite of Sidhu Dada speaks less but to the point while Sidhu talks wayyyyyy too much and never to the point
gaurav92 Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 I am amazed how he keeps his cool while Sidhu goes berserk :cantstop:
pensionplan Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 Now the question is where is Ganguly getting his material from to come across as a good analyst going by some accounts on this thread. That is the million dollar question. :)
gaurav92 Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 ^Worst post on this thread so far. Now go kill yourself.
bihutoli Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 Heard sir Aggy is a commentor on the sky sports panel, and is quite the suave articulate insightful bloke we've always known him to be.
