What is the best Cricket team you have seen play? I wasn't even born to see the 80's West indies play but from all the teams I have watched I would have to say that the Australian team that played in the 2003 World cup was by far the best. Which team would you say is the best?

OZ 2007 and WI 1983.

Windies team of early 80s was quite fearsome with batsmen like Greenidge, Haynes, Richards, Lloyd; decent wk and batsman in Jeff Dujon backed up by bowlers like Marshall, Holding, Garner, Roberts. Absolutely no chinks whatsoever.

I would say the WI team that played against us in 1983 WC Final was the greatest ever. Team had 9 absolute superstar- Batting - Greendge, Haynes, Richards, Lioyd WK - Dujon Bowling - Roberts, Garner, Marshall, Holding (All four playing in same match :nervous:. That did not happen frequently) Other than these 9, rest two were - Larry Gomes (Decent Enough player) and Bacchus (No idea)

The best ever ODI team was West Indies in the late 70s and early 80s. Those players back then had such class and aggression, you don't find many teams today that have both.. squads like Australia that were very aggressive in the period between 2000-2007 has less class both on and off the field and reveled in zero sportsmanship. Even the Indian team of the 80s was good. I loved Sri Lanka in the 90s.. but my heart is affixed to West Indies :D I've always loved that side, it's the one team that never used piss-tactics and foul play to get an upper hand, but still managed to make opposing teams crap their pants :cantstop:

India in the 90's. Our bowling attack was the most fearsome in the history of cricket. Debashish Mohanty, Harvinder singh, Tinu Yohanan, Nikhil chopra, Ashsih kapoor. Ohhh Man that's scarrryyyyyyy......

You forgot to mention the batting depth we had with the likes of Jacob Martin, Gagan Khoda, Sujith Somasunder, Vikram Rathore, Hrishikesh Kanetkar etc. complimenting Tendulkar :--D I still remember those days where the team composition was Tendulkar, Dravid, Ganguly, Kumble, Srinath and 6 more. And more or less the match was decided by Tendulkar's performance alone :fear:

Definitely Australia of the 2000's. They blew away every other side (bar India in India). They were an outstanding team. I thought Glenn McGrath a massive **** but he was the best bowler i have ever seen (started watching cricket in 99). I would love to see how many test matches or series they lost when he was playing (not including 2005 Ashes when he was injured for 2 tests and looked ropey in the 2 tests he played after coming back from injury). I'm gutted no batsman ever took him to the cleaners because i would have loved to have seen him taken apart.
