ZodiaC
IF SL beats NZ' date=' Aus beats Pak and Ind beats WI[/quote'] Which is the most likely scenario obviously Link to comment
Ultimate_Game
SL Eng in Colombo ?? again Mr.Premadasa  Nope, only SL Q/F is in SL. 2 quarters are in B'desh and the India Q/F is in Ahmedabad. Link to comment
Jersey #10
Well it looks like QF line up will be(if top ranked sides win the remaing matches) ike: Aus vs WI --> Aus SL vs Eng --> SL Ind vs Nz --> Ind SA vs Pak --> Pak SF Aus vs Pak --> Pak SL vs Ind --> Ind Final India vs Pak...:omg: Link to comment
asterix
What happens if The remaining Group A matches washes out? Link to comment
Ultimate_Game
What happens if The remaining Group A matches washes out? In that case the current standings would remain.... Aus at the top, NZ 2nd, Pak 3rd and SL 4th. Link to comment
coffee_rules
^ With just 2 matches to go in each group, India can be either 1/2/3/4, Even Pak/NZ can be 1/2/3/4. This is amazing. Eng have made this a great WC with their inconsistency just like Pak. Link to comment
coffee_rules
WI need to chase any target we set in 21 overs or if they bat first they need to win by a margin of 160+ runs to put us behind Eng in NRR A highly unlikely situation that can result in England's progress at the expense of India is if West Indies make 300 and dismiss India for 117 or if West Indies can dismiss India for 150 and chase the target down in 20.3 overs. Imagine this happened to SA in the T20 WC against India. They had to make 120+ in 20 overs to qualify. They didn't. Here it's highly unlikely. Link to comment
kabira
so SL will be either 2nd or 4th. Link to comment
Asim
So still both, Pak and Ind could end up at any position 1,2,3 or 4 Link to comment
coffee_rules
Aus will be 1 or 3, SA will be 1 or 2. QFs lineups still not decided. Most likely : Aus SA SL Ind NZ Eng Pak WI Imran Tahir will play against his own country! Link to comment
kabira
^Imran Nazir?? or Imran Tahir? Link to comment
DeadMan
If V lost today who will b face 4 SL in QF?:hmmm: Link to comment
Zelig
Aus will be 1 or 3, SA will be 1 or 2. QFs lineups still not decided. Most likely : Aus SA SL Ind NZ Eng Pak WI Imran Tahir will play against his own country! If it ends up like that, I think, every other team would settle with it, except maybe England n NZ. - We certainly should fancy our chances against NZ. No brainer. - SA would certainly take Pak over SL/Oz n vice-versa too. Pakis have had decent success against the Saffies in recent times n they'd prefer them to India, after having finished at the bottom of the group. - SL would love to play England on one of those turning tracks in Colombo. The Lankans should roll them over. If England don't win the toss, the match would of ended even before it had started. - As far as WI-Aus is concerned, I guess both teams would be happy with it. WI's best chance of progressing to SF is by facing either Oz/NZ in QF. Realistically speaking, they don't stand a chance against the Pak/SL spinners. The slow nature of the Dhaka wicket should negate the three prone pace attack of Oz to a certain extent. Should be a good contest this, if WI don't lose too many wickets in the man. PP.
