King Tendulkar Posted March 13, 2011 Posted March 13, 2011 Not really bothered by the loss, just warm up games for q/finals. Just gives us a chance to fine tune selction. Lessons - Chawla and Nehra bugger of. Also Raina should be in. Who should be dropped is a toughie but he must be picked on these flat tracks. He would have been just what we needed yesterday

zaheer Posted March 13, 2011 Posted March 13, 2011 Hoping we have learnt the lesson that the last overs and the Batting powerplay is not all Bang Bang. Need to play cleverly during powerplays. Even NZ in that match against Pakis scored only 37 off the powerplay overs. Rest what followed was absolute carnage. Should put a realistic target for powerplay overs like say 40 in 5 overs. Also ZAK bowled a terrific penultimate over. Hope the other pacers take some cue from him and learn how to bowl in death overs. :isalute::isalute:
King Tendulkar Posted March 13, 2011 Posted March 13, 2011 No idea what all the panic is about. These are just warm up games! Only just lost. Bit of luck and non selection of Nehra and we would have won!
flamy Posted March 13, 2011 Posted March 13, 2011 Man, I'm not even bothered with this. I dunno why all the wrist slitting? Sure, our batting collapsed, embarassingly so. I'm not pushing that under the rug. We have excellent feedback now. What's the fuss?
kabira Posted March 13, 2011 Posted March 13, 2011 How can on earth SA favorites and any better than us?? The supposedly great bowling attack of morkel and Steyn went for 86 runs in 10 overs (highest in the tournament so far). At one point they were cruising, scored more than 50 runs in Power play, ABV was going great guns and what does he do after scoring a boundary, gives easy catch to boundary man...They need 70 odd from 60 odd deliveries then, no more heroics were required, But ABV chose to be real hero. then duminy does the same. Botha after scoring 6 and 4, goes for another and gets out. They could have won one over to spare. Instead they relied too much on luck (miss runout), inside edge to boundary. Right now Aussies look out of practice. Way Ponting and Haddin were playing seemed like they havent played for a while. I hope they have easy game against Pakis and they play England/WI in Quarterfinal probably in Mirpur. That will be fun.
gult Posted March 13, 2011 Posted March 13, 2011 We have all the tools to lift the WC. It's good to see Bhajji coming into some sort of form. He's an important member of the team.
