Square Drive Posted March 13, 2011 Posted March 13, 2011 Only if they meet us in a final again. :(( Almost. Luckily' date=' it got rained out. [b']Ricky said that he was 99% sure that they would lose to SL. Most people say that Aus's winning streak will be stopped when they face Pakistan next week. :hysterical::hysterical:

Not like You Phirangi Baba!:finger: On the Topic, Its their Fast bowlers who are setting up games for the 'Mostly'. If we had half a good bowling attack as them currently we would have won the World Cup with our eyes closed.
jusarrived Posted March 13, 2011 Posted March 13, 2011 Their batting is pretty sad tbh , wont be easy for them

Andy Posted March 13, 2011 Posted March 13, 2011 The same fast bowlers who gave away 260 odd runs and only took 3 Kenyan wickets... :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical: You didnt read the Full post, did you? No problem get back when you have read it.
kabira Posted March 13, 2011 Posted March 13, 2011 Yes I read it. Their attack is pace, pace and pace, no variety. Remember this was same problem SA had for long time. On paper yes they have great attack. But on slow and low pitches their attack will be easy to score off
Desi Cartman Posted March 13, 2011 Posted March 13, 2011 Yes,we have a good team and it's an extraordinary record :winky: Go Aussie Go !!!!!!!!!

straighttalk Posted March 13, 2011 Posted March 13, 2011 Aussies are bit over hyped like the English were before the world cup, lets remember one thing they haven't faced a quality opposition till date, they haven't had any tough/competitive games so far. In my opinion due the those issues they are actually very vulnerable then the teams which have already faced some adversity and have had good competitive matches. I see the Aussies boarding a plane back to their homeland after the Quarters or Semis. Fingers crossed I really hope I am right, just CANNOT stand the sight of Aussies winning their 4th world cup in a row. in my case it is completely opposite...they are my fav to win the cup, if unfortunately india doesnt show up. somehow i always tend to support a champion when his power is on the wane.
Karan114 Posted March 13, 2011 Posted March 13, 2011 The record from 1999 (following a couple of early defeats) till 2007 was simply awesome - in a game like one-day cricket, one or two outstanding performances can win a game so to go 30 games unbeaten is incredible. In the current tournament they've only been really tested once, though, and that time the game got washed out. If they can lift this trophy unbeaten then it will be an even greater achievement than 2003 and 2007 because this is a good but not all time great team like the 2003 and 2007 ones....but I suspect they might succumb to spin somewhere along the way.
pinkfreud Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 The very fact that the weakest team in this WC, Kenya, managed to put up their highest total in this tourney- 260 odd, against the Aussies, tells me that the Roos aren't all they're cranked up to be in the WC ;)
Chalks Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 Australia are yet to lose a WC semi-final. Six semis for five wins and the tie that qualified them for the final in 99.
pinkfreud Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 Australia are yet to lose a WC semi-final. True, but there's a first time for everything- much like yesterday was the first time Kenya put up a 250+ total against one of the best bowling sides in the tourney :D
Square Drive Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 ^ And if they hadn't recalled senior Hussy, things would have been more interesting. :D
Bradman99 Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 Exit door awaits Aus in Q Finals .... Exit door awaits every team in the QF's as it is knockout. But I would say Aus have as good a chance as any team at this stage.
