prinzo Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 Hi , i cant help but notice that the pressure seems to be getting to INDIA in their home world cup. Firstly they did not perform well against the minows . secondly they have not beaten England and now lost to the South Africans twice in a row , and at crucial times , in the ODI decider in SA and now in the WC. Could they be choking perhaps against the South Africans?
zen Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 I think Ind has not played upto its potential so far and even then teams like Eng and SA had to play out of their skins to tie and win respectively. Things will get more interesting for Ind, once all the cylinders start firing (car analogy :P )
prinzo Posted March 14, 2011 Author Posted March 14, 2011 What INDIA need is a fierce bowling attck , than they will be unstoppable , that is what is missing.
Hell Raiser Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 Even after playing 5 matches, we haven't even manage to find the right combination, whether to go with 3 seamers and 1 spinner or to go with 2 seamers and 2 spinners. in case of 2 spinners we are still doubtful who it will be. And in batting India definitely need Raina in the team.
prinzo Posted March 14, 2011 Author Posted March 14, 2011 Today 12:38 PM rett I think Ind has not played upto its potential so far and even then teams like Eng and SA had to play out of their skins to tie and win respectively. Things will get more interesting for Ind, once all the cylinders start firing (car analogy ) India did play to their best , but were not good enough to beat a country like SA. The same can be said for SA , they did not play up to their potential .
HowardRoark Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 Even if I have take your words that India is playing under huge pressure, still it took Eng and SA to play their best to tie and win against us. Doesn't that say something about our respective teams? :giggle:

Hell Raiser Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 What INDIA need is a fierce bowling attck ' date=' than they will be unstoppable , that is what is missing.[/quote'] You are right, but India never had the powerful bowling attack, we always depend on our batsmen to take us forward.
zen Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 India did play to their best , but were not good enough to beat a country like SA. The same can be said for SA , they did not play up to their potential . Stop trolling :hysterical:
prinzo Posted March 14, 2011 Author Posted March 14, 2011 india has Sehwag and Yuvraj to fill in for the spinners , as well as Bhajji , so thats 3 spinners , so they can play a 3 pace fast bowlers ,. and only Zaheer is good , Sreesanth needs to be brought back into the team in place of Nehra , unlucky for Nehra , he has to accept it , its just one of those things
Karan114 Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 Don't be getting too cocky mate, your team is the one that has a history of choking and come the knockouts let's see how far your chokers go. This loss was pretty much inconsequential for India as they will reach the knockouts anyways. And roflol at your claim that India was playing at its best.
Hell Raiser Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 Guess that Raina in for Y.P and ASHWIN for Nehra is the way to go atleast till Q.F Ashwin should surely play instead of Nehra, but IMO we should drop Gambhir or Kohli to include Raina and play Dhoni at number 4. Dhoni needs time to get settled before he starts belting bowlers around.
prinzo Posted March 14, 2011 Author Posted March 14, 2011 HowardRoark Even if I have take your words that India is playing under huge pressure, still it took Eng and SA to play their best to tie and win against us. Doesn't that say something about our respective teams Who said that SA played to their full potential? we in SA dont think so , yet we won , India just needs a ferocouis bowling attack , than the wolrd is at its mercy. Surley in the villages in INDIA there is talent somewhere , or do you have to have money to succeed in INDIA , thats what i heard , you have to bribe officials to make it big in India , if you have the talent

pinkfreud Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 Prinzo :finger: nice try at attempting to turn the tide around just coz SA won. It wasn't pressure as much as it was about some really bad captain decisions. There's a difference between the two, and this is only the group stage. SA will only start choking in the KOs :winky: So do drink and make merry till then :P
prinzo Posted March 14, 2011 Author Posted March 14, 2011 There is no tied , i am just stating mere facts. look at Indias last 2 ODI against SA . it does not take a brain scientist to anaylize it
Hell Raiser Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 HR ok i accept GAMBHIR is poor in the field but if you see against two major teams GG did scored 50s if you take out his 51 and 69 rest of them had collapsed in 2 matches so GG should be there I have nothing against Gambhir and I know its not easy to drop a player like Gambhir particularly when he is scoring runs, but we definitely need a finisher like Raina in the team. So question arises whom India should drop to accommodate Raina, Pathan has slight edge because of his bowling and his hitting abilities late down the order. But in the end i have a feeling that team management will drop Pathan and bring in Raina.
Little_Master Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 A comprehensive win over WI should do good for team India. I hope the combination of 2 seam bowlers and 2 spinners would work. It is a blessing in disguise that we have not peaked as yet...perhaps a win against WI and a win in the QF can boost team India's confidence going into the crucial SF. All is not lost as yet...there r some big question marks and I am sure Guru Gary will guide us through.
Karan114 Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 There is no tied , i am just stating mere facts. look at Indias last 2 ODI against SA . it does not take a brain scientist to anaylize it You are talking about two ODIs, your country has been choking for two decades :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical: Doesn't take a brain scientist to analyze that indeed
