What's all this rubbish about "Pakistan messing it up for India"? As somebody has said, once you reach the knock-out, it is all down to that particular day. Luckily, after a month of minnow matches, we finallly have 8 competitive teams going through. So it should be a great tournament from this point onwards. You really need to be on top of your game, no chokes, no excuses, no brain farts, no sloppiness, just focus and play as one team, with one goal in mind. If India can do that, I'll be happy. If, inspite of doing that, we still lose, whether in QF or SF or Final, so be it. Of course, if we really are on top of our game, no reason we should fear ANY of the other teams. And if we are not on top of our game, and play like we've played some games till now, we really don't deserve to win. Then it doesn't matter at what stage we get kicked out.

I'm a Pak fan. I think what our win today has done is confirmed how truly open this tournament is. India were touted favourites but against England their bowling was exposed brutally. Australia's batting has been shown up and their 4th and bowlers too. Pakistan's batting is as brainless and fragile as ever and their bowling swings from the incredibly good to the incredibly poor. Sri Lanka's batting is top heavy and reliant on the senior pros, their 4and 5th bowlers are easy pickings. South Africa are also top heavy, their bowling is very good but again they've shown their ability to succumb to pressure (vs Eng). England have weaknesses everywhere but need must win scenarios to play to their best, that's a dangerous sign for opponents in the knockout stages. I think Pakistan beating Aus has given EVERY team hope and belief they can win. Do I think Pakistan can win? On paper no, but world cups aren't won on paper, they're won the playing field and Pakistan do every now and then go on a crazy winning streak in major tournaments, so who knows, maybe. Plus Pakistan have very good records in Sri Lanka and especially India if I recall, so that should give them confidence.

India will be facing Sri Lanka in the QF, not Australia. We could have beaten an off-color Australia, but beating a powerful Sri Lankan Team led from the front by the in-form Sangakarra, along with Murali and Malinga will be a totally different matter !
