ghost Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 bhajji gonna try Teesra Ball for world cup :giggle: First he should try getting at least his "Pehla" ball right, then think about anything else... he isn't as talented as he thinks he is ! Actually, deep down he himself knows it....notice all his (fake) aggression is only when he's not actually bowling... when he's actually bowling he doesn't look confident at all and when getting smacked around by the batsmen he looks ready to burst into tears ! I agree with OP; time for him to stop being a stumbling block for more talented, confident young spinners !
NareshK Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 Harbhajan is another guy who is riding on reputation. He has always been average in ODIs and recently been quite poor. Ojha is the best spinner in India right now. I wonder why he is sidelined.
Ramzz Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 Harby needs the confidence to flight the damn ball...that is all.
King Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 Bhajji has been the most economical bowler for India in this WC on belters I thought barring Zaheer Khan. Why drop him?
satyam1729 Posted March 20, 2011 Author Posted March 20, 2011 Bhajji has been the most economical bowler for India in this WC on belters I thought barring Zaheer Khan. Why drop him? His role is to take wickets not contain.
King Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 His role is to take wickets not contain. Well... if the pitches are not conducive enough there's not much to do as a bowler is there? RPO of 4.41 not good enough on these flat pitches? That is bloody good I reckon.
satyam1729 Posted March 20, 2011 Author Posted March 20, 2011 ^^^^ 32 ICC matches and averages 42 and we have not made to the semi-final of any of those ICC tournament from 2004 bar T20 WC 2007. It is pathetic http://stats.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/stats/index.html?bowling_pacespin=2;class=11;filter=advanced;orderby=wickets;spanmin1=01+jan+2004;spanval1=span;team=6;template=results;trophy=12;trophy=44;trophy=89;type=bowling
Sid Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 We will see the difference between an attacking spinner and a dart thrower today but hopefully presence of Ashwin also helps Bhajji to come out of his comfort zone .
spectre Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 A dart thrower with a pathetic average is called the No.1 spinner in India. He is hogging the spot by virtue of his off-field performances. No wonder our bowling sucks.
CSK Fan Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 who's stopping Ashwin from doing so? chica or M :winky: No one has been given enough chnaces. If a bowler is brought on off and on his performance would not be consistant. someone else should be given more chance

That is bloody good I reckon. RPO gaya tel lene. Players easily see him off and because the opposition have wickets in hand, score huge runs in the end. On the same pitches other team's spin bowlers seem to be picking a lot of wickets
CSK Fan Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 Bhajji has been the most economical bowler for India in this WC on belters I thought barring Zaheer Khan. Why drop him? Any bowler who continues to bowl darts will not go for run. He along with Zaheer are our most experienced bowlers. If these two dont take wickets are the new comers supposed to take the wickets? Players can easily pick him off and go on to score 300+ every time
CG Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 who's stopping Ashwin from doing so? chica or M :winky: Dhoni was not playing ashwin as harbhajan would be exposed against a fellow offspinner and bhajji would be under pressure now see his face.

He has been a proven matchwinner..There are no better bowler than him in India, ATM..
straight.drive Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 Harbhajan has been an NPA for the team for a long time.
