03/24/2011?...With all the hype about this being Sachin's swan song when it comes to ODI's.....I for one am scared that with this being an end to India's world cup campaign may also be he last time we see God in action in a ODI....realistically after this worldcup for the next 4 years every ODI is meaningless as far as Sachin is concerned:nervous::nervous::pray::pray::((:(( Murali,Akthar have already announced their retirement....Smith is going to step down from captaincy but what about Sachin????is every knockout game his probable last????

Time to prove his status and put to doubt all the haters with one last of 3 last great performances.
He has nothing left to prove. He has already proved everything good we say about him many times over. He was the highest run scorer in 2 World cups, which obviously, noone else has done. Just because his teammates let him down in those WC's, it doesn't mean he didnt perform when it mattered. On topic, yes, I will be extremely sad if India doesnt win the WC. Sachin deserves the WC more than anyone else. The greatest batsman needs to retire on a high.

I would not be surprised if he retires (from ODIs) after this world cup and then as the next WC approaches he starts feeling withdrawal symptoms and makes a come back.

Does not matter, he will still be known as the greatest ODI player. If he played for a team which had better bowlers...I can only Imagine the nightmares the other teams would be having :)

like 2003 wc final..? :P he's a great player no doubt and respected in pak almost equally but the truth is he had his chance and he blew it.. still he's a great player but couldve been greater if he hadnt screwed up then.. :)

LOL, yes the bowlers let the team down when they gave away 350 runs...I assume that is Sachin's fault as well according to you?

Obvious. Troll. Alert. What utter tripe. So Sachin is now apparently a robot with the never-ending ability to score tons in every match because god forbid if he doesn't, it's his fault the team lost. Sachin Robot Tendulkar isn't great because hey! he failed to bamboozle the opposition in match xyz and match abc... blah blah blah, and so the verbal diarrhoea goes on. Do you want me to outline the innumerable number of times some of the world's greatest batsmen have got out for single digits? For Christ's sake if you want to troll here and get off on it, at least do so with half a brain. This thread isn't about his batting prowess as much as it is about his supposed retirement.. pretty much goes to show that you may have crapped your powers of comprehension along with your other turds in the pot this sunny morning. Go back under your green gobbledygook rock and try harder next time around. No iota of senseless yapping will diminish the fact that Sachin puts all your *insert chicken clucking sound here* Paki batsmen to shame.
u dont have to repeatedly remind me abt it
And yet here you are, reminding us of how badly you need to come crashing down to earth each time you attempt to troll your way to nothingness.

Pakis and their lawhori logic. So what you are saying is that Sreesanth is a better bowler than Wasim akram and Waqar younis and Widharman Saha is a better batsman than Javed miandad, Zaheer abbas in tests.

I have only heard from ICF posters about the legend of Lahori logic, thanx for showing me what exactly lahori logic is.:two_thumbs_up: By the way what do you think of Brian lara, he didn't even made it to the final of world cup even once.

@ Computer Troll: How on Earth can you define his most important innings ever? He's performed in ever WC tourney he has played, save for the 2007 edition. Name one Paki (or anybody) who has performed consistently over a span of 22 years in international cricket? Answer: None. Why? Because this isn't War of the Worlds, aka the guys playing cricket are humans, not gargantuan ETs. In the '03 Cup, Sachin totally ripped apart your Paki side as well as the Sri Lankans. Calling him a choker because he didn't live up to your robot expectations in the '03 finals pretty much shows the intent with which you have come on this forum. You have a lot of gall talking about him letting down our nation when your own Maharathi skipper Afretard has done nothing to boost the Paki batting potential or the lack of it. That too, when Pakis have no balls to even play us in our own backyard and have lost every WC game against India. Come again another day when you have some meat worth holding on to. Until then, keep your wishful thinking to yourself and try brushing up on your skills, will you? We've seen better trolls around here who at least know how to go about their business.
