This is why England will never be a truly great team because they do not put the same effort into beating the rest of the teams. The reason why the Australian team of the 90s and 00's were so great is because they played each match with great intensity and effort. The media coverage given to the world cup in England has been pathetic!

You do that with teams that are equal to you. Pakistan is not and bar a few exceptional days, will not be our equal. I would instead pick an Ind-Aus or Ind-SA game as a cracker.

Some of the non-cricket fans I've spoken to were perplexed as to why England were so bad at the World seeing as they had been brainwashed that they were the best in the world after beating the Ashes. This is why I always support the Aussies.
Sooda Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 Duh. Were fooling ourselves if we think this Pak side, as far as ODIs are concerned, is that far behind India if at all. Theyre clearly playing quality cricket, bowling is still world class and ANYTHING can happen in an Ind-Pak ODI that too a WC match. I think it is fair to say Pak on paper were stronger than the India teams in 96 and 99...we beat them both times...it is impossibly hard to call.
