ganeshran Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 As you can see, they twist the name the way they want, Not just put an 'A' in the end. Hate is obviously a strong word for ANY of the reasons that I had given, And I dont HATE them But obviously many of their names sound uncool...:D How is their name even relevant in a discussion about cricket?
akshayxyz Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 See, thats what I mean when I say many idiots over here lack basic comprehension skills. Read my post again.. That was a trap and you deservedly figured out. Some signs of your IQ there. If a person is outscored by 1 in 300 people on average in an exam, then whats his approx. percentile score??? go figure it out n i will give you 2 $ ICF :D You can very well calculate that yourself. You are the 'worker' who claimed to have superlative-IQ. (without having any idea about who are on the other side). $5 for you for that effort. Above that - I will pay you $10 if you post your prestigious certificates you have been claiming. And another $10 per head for rest of your M$FT team members'. and bonus $10 for the venn diagrams I requested. Figure out how many $$s you are going to miss out if you don't do this and also, how it is going to affect the psychology of your team members if you earn more than $99.

There's a good chance tht you might be having higher IQ than me:dontknow: , and I'd be happy abt tht I love you/

Hate is obviously a strong word for ANY of the reasons that I had given, And I dont HATE them But obviously many of their names sound uncool...:D So you suggest they look up Hindi names and try their best to twist them around!!! More gems of your wisdom please. You do realize that they might be having their own alphabet, script and other elements of a language that can exist independent of other language?
vvvslaxman Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 I bet he is appealing to Lions as well :hysterical:
akshayxyz Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 vaibhav - as some one said in a separate thread that you have immortalized yourself by bringing up claims of your CAT/M$FT/IQ stuff. Sorry - but this is going to haunt you for rest of your ICF-life. :icflove:

Cricket Tragic Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 Hope that Sanga doesn't turn up drunk. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E7Cwf9DmPdc
Pak_Forever Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 Intense wall-paper. I like. B/w good luck to both teams.
thongale Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 lol' date=' that's how those names are pronounced in classical sanskrit dodo (there is a short "a" sound at the end). Like my Sanskrit name would be वरुण. Modern names are in fact the twisted versions of older classical names.[/quote']vaibhav_delhi owned. The Sanskrit origins of these words are little changed in Hindi, where you drop short "a" from the names. Ex - Aravinda vs Arravind - Lotus, Varuna vs Varun - The Elephant / Water, Deva vs Dev - god, Dharma vs Dharam - the path etc. SInhalese have much closer Sanskrit ties than Hindi BTW. But to hate a player based on their name is retarded.

Ex - Aravinda vs Arravind - Lotus, Varuna vs Varun - The Elephant / Water, Deva vs Dev - god, Dharma vs Dharam - the path etc. how did Jayvardhan become jayawardene?? And if they wanna resemble sanskrit, Why dont you guys go for a proper 'varunah' instead of 'varuna' ? and what abt 'Chamara Kapugedera' ?? what sort of a ridiculous name is that?? :D As mentioned earlier, I dont hate you guys, just find a alot of things uncool abt lankan cricket...
thongale Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 wonder how Arvind became Aravinda' date=' And how Jayvardhan became jayawardene etc....[/quote']It's actually the other way round. Indian Navy uses this - 'शं नो वरुणः' Shanno Varuna "May Varuna be peaceful to us" And Buddha's first name was Siddhartha, not Siddharth! And the Sanskrit baby names will show that it's Aravinda, not Arvind. The only difference is that Sinhalese kept it's Sanskrit roots and Hindi decided to change it. No big deal in either approach.
