Lets be honest. We all hammer and takey mickey out of afridi' date=' but [b']secretly we all like him.

Speak for yourself. I dont know what he has done to warrant such a fan following among Pakistanis. He is one of the most mindless batsmen I've seen but he has developed into a decent bowler. I'll give him that. I dont understand how anyone can forgive him after the ball biting incident in Australia. If he was playing for India and he did that in front of millions of people and disgraced his country and fans, I would ask for his head instead of cheering him on as the captain.

You don't reach world no. 2 but playing some and standing up for the team in some cheap games. He has scored in South Africa, during recent tour and has a great average while chasing. It's easy to come out and check stats on cricinfo and see that he hasn't performed well in last couple of games. Sorry, I know you guys might have great reputation and I love reading your posts, but that was totally uncalled for. Kohli deserves the respect and deserves to be in the. He has had great start to his career.

Kohli is definitely a good player in the making. The way he effortlessly played Steyn and Morkel in SA should not be forgotten. The "taulented" ROhit sharma f**ed up 90% of the chances he got. Kohli on the other hand used 90% of the chances he got. As long as he was at the crease he was comfortable. When the world cup started he was the most inform batsman for India. He didn't totally betray that tag. He did have couple of decent outings. Couple of innings he failed way down the order. This one .. he was kinda surprised.

to be honest i rate rohit sharma more then kholi ...he has god gifted talent but has a brain of a 5 yr old ...just like umar akmal ....he too will come good in the futuure ..trust me

1 complaint I have is that the Gambhir + Kohli comination gives the value of 1 batsman rather than 2 when you look at the performances (or even averages) in the past 2 years. If this can be solved it would be great for team India.

From whatever I have seen of Afridi so far - I think as a human being he is a nice guy, a below average cricketer and a mind of 5 year old. The pitch dancing, ball biting incidents you can relate that to a kid trying to feign an injury or concocting some story in front of mature adults..to get his way through and believing the no one would notice. He and other similar players ( like Younis khan) think its kind of cute to be unprofessional. The real crooks have been likes of Imran, Miandad, Malik, Sohail, Waqar, Akhtar and so on.
