Australai was not no.1 under Border....They were like India under Ganguly...I think they lost an ashses at home back then and they lost to WI at home too...they became no. 1 under Steve Waugh...SA were a better team on the whole before 1999...it all started since 1999 and ended in 2007-2008...when likes of Warne, Hayden, Ponting, Mcgrath, Glichrist, Gillespie, and Lee were in their peak...so their rein was around 8-9 years...not 15 years

And looks like some Fan boys take things too much to their Heart. :D Whatever floats your boat. But hopefully lessons are being learnt in the process. If supporting the team and its captain equally through wins and defeats is being a fan boy, I am all for it, thank you.

I still think that dropping Ashwin was a huge blunder. No, IMO, as Pakistani batsmen play spinners better than any other Asian team, even better than Indians, and they lack the technique to play agaisnt Seam and pacer bowlers...that was the thinking process...look at how they played against SL in league game and before India decoded Mendis..they never saw any mystery in him and always smashed him and played well against Murli too...strategically it was not a wrong decision to play an extra seamer especially in Mohali...

LOL WTF?:cantstop: Lessons for what , Not hailing him even after some horrendous decisions during some Games? Its no brainer that he has been doing poorly as a Captain for quite some time before the KO stage and hence Got some wrath from the Fans which he deserved. I do not even manage to post as many as others do to be critical on his leadership qualities, still some of you cant see beyond me. He has done well so far, Calling him the greatest captain ever speaks a Volume of the Maturity of the Fan boys.

Zaheer had to bought back to get the 1st wicket while all the other times he was saved for the 30 over old ball and during 3rd PP. We had no other bowler who could take a wicket. Bhajji wasnt good at the start with his darts. Munaf was ambling along till that brain fart but he did get razzaq with a beauty. Nehra bowled full and wide which workd today but might not the next time. We need an attacking bowler who doesnt give easy runs. Thats what Ashwin is.

I dont think Dhoni has the balls to drop Munaf or Nehra to get Ashwin in for the final. Or may be there is something personal against Ashwin.
