They have played well against Mendis but did they really play well against the other spinners? Even in the SL match, the 2 main spinners took 81/3 in 20 overs while the 3 seamers went for 182/3 in 29 overs. Pak playing spin better than India and SL is an old wives tale.

Had Ashwin played we might have even got to 275. 270 for sure. When the last 6 balls were to be bowled With Raina in the crease i expected us to score 14 in that over atleast. But Zak wasted most of the Balls, I guess Ashwin wouldnt have done that.

Pak batsmen for all their ineptness do play spin well , I am pretty sure they wold have handled Ashwin better
