I spent my first Christmas in the USA with a Hispanic friend of mine in a very Hispanic neighborhood in Chicago and she told me to "duck and cover" as soon as the clock strikes midnight to usher in the New Year, to evade the bullets. Thankfully there were no shots fired that night. Besides the fact that they're totally retarded (and drunk) when they fire guns for celebrations, my guess is also that these morons think that the bullets are flying into space.

Some people have a genuine reason to own firearms Its just that they need to be regulated well and people who own firearms should be explained that they are responsible for any misuse of the weapon. Also ammunition must be strictly regulated and people must be made to give reasoning for ammunition spent
