So, who is to say how much he bends in a match where he is putting extra effort ? If one cannot say for sure, then we should apply what the law says, let the on-field umpire decide on looks. Nobody will understand he got away on a technicality. For me Even Randiv > Murali.

My problem with Murali is that he takes the credit away from the best spinner of all the times "Anil Kumble". No body questioned his integrity. ever. To compare the two is a crime.

What did Murali do to take credit away other than just keep getting wickets at a crazy pace? Murali/Kumble/Warne have a lot of respect from all of us and each other, I would rather leave it at that. Did Murali stop Kumble from getting 800 wickets? :dontknow: I don't think his bending/deformity is what got him the wickets. He played on a team which depended on him a lot, he didn't have to share his wickets with other spinners, he played a lot at home in friendly conditions, all of this helped him get his tally.

And the minor detail of bending his arm to get little bit extra spin. Anil lived by the rules and did not do so well. Rspect for each other shows how much great a character Anil Bhai is. He is willing to overlook. I am petty, not as great as Anil so I feel miffed if credit is taken away from him.

Did the bending/deformity help him do any better than his peers other than to hurl a few quick ones on and off? Those of you who suspect Murali's action are forgetting that he became great not because he could spin a little bit more, but because he has that special in him which only the great ones have.

Why 15-degree? ICC should raise it to 50 degree. What difference it will make to a spinner whether he bowls at 10, 15 or 50 degree bend. Before it was 5 degree for spinners, but for Murli's sake it was raised to 15 degree. For fast bowlers, it is 10 degree now. Its a rubbish rule from ICC. Any degree bend is chucking and ICC must be strict on it or otherwise remove any limits for spinners at least. It will make the game more interesting. That was not a Narco test, that was in lab and every bowler will be extra careful not bend the elbow too much...I have seen his video clips of test and they were certainly different that how he bowls in actual matches. Its called difference of opinions. Some will be supporting Murli and some not. I am not forced to support him if I do not support the rationale of ICC in bending rules. I do not hate him or do not say he is not a great bowler. He is a great bowler.

If the level was left at 10 degrees, Murali would have been safe with the offie, but McGrath and Pollock would have been out for chucking. 3. 15 degrees were chosen, because it was the minimum amount of extension that needed for human eye to see a change of action So, better educate yourself before dishing out rubbish.

For every bowler it is 15 degrees.

and in-depth research has revealed that even bowlers like Glenn McGrath and Shaun Pollock, usually considered examplars of the classical action, occasionally go over the prescribed tolerance limit, bending their arms by as much as 12 degrees.
