I never called him a saint..he has his many failings but he was not dishonest over here... it appearded that Sanga called heads the first time but reff & the others didnt hear it because of the noice.. here - "Replays of the toss indicated that Sangakkara called heads the first time as well, and the call is audible to producers of the host broadcasters ESPN-Star Sports. I think Sanga agreed for re toss because Dhoni assumed he won the toss, when it is actually sanga who has won the toss. Sanga could've argued that he won the toss but he can't prove it since the referee himself said he didn't hear it, so he finally agreed for the re-toss!! I think sanga wouldn't have risked doing something that stupid in a WC final. He was gracious in the interview as well. We should forget this silly incident and move on

But isnt it very risky for him to initiate that confusion without knowing whether the match refree heard his call or not? He could have looked like a fool if he claimed he said heads but match referee said he heard tails. I think it was Dhoni and the match refree who misheard Sanga's call. Either that or Sanga planned the whole nefarious tactic by deliberately making the call low enough so the refree wouldnt be able to hear it. I highly doubt that.
