Good call. He batted brilliantly on debut vs IND @ Nagpur and has the makings of a fine test batsman. Fastest ever Englishman to reach 1000 Test runs, and alongside Mark Taylor he is the only batsman to ever score 1000 runs in his debut season. From what i saw of him against IND and against AUS recently, he has all the shots in the book.
